Probably scold her first, then spank her if she kept continuing the disruptive behavior. I'm not against spanking but I am against beating a child. Since I come from a "spare the rod, spoil the child" household, I was spanked occasionally for misbehaving and I turned out quite fine, if not more humble and respectful and learned I can't get everything I wanted by catching a fit. Even so I personally am reluctant to hit a misbehaving child. It just depends, kids are stupid and some of them will try your patience if you let them.
I remember I was at the cellphone store once and I saw a mother and her very young son..and she was explaining to him about what phone to get and he told her to shut up he could figure it out. She looked embarrassed and I was quite appalled. If that would had been me when I was like 7 or so my mom probably would have slapped me upside the head before I knew I was hit....lol
