Models usually have to be super tall, so, I'd vote for Makoto since she has the height to pull it off. Setsuna would be good too since she has a more exotic look.
The problem with some real life models is that some of them are either unattractive or anorexic.

If you're talking about honest-to-goodness actual modeling, most of them would be laughed out of most modeling agencies for being too short, even in Japan. The only senshi with the proper height are Haruka and Setsuna, both of whom are a full head taller than Usagi(who's 4'11" when the show starts).

Usagi, Ami, Rei, and Minako are all way too short. Makoto is iffy, Michiru even more so. Hotaru doesn't stand a chance.

She has the "talent" for that kinda thing too :mischief: .
Not compared to some of the women you've posted in the H thread. :mischief:
And because I don't want to edit again, Makoto's actually too "talented" for modeling. Fashion models are generally B-cups. Victoria's Secret models are usually older fashion models who already made their name anyway, so they can get away with being a C-cup at most.

In reality, both Rika (PGSM Ami) & Mew (PGSM Mako) are top models of their respective mainstream fashion mags (the former has been rising fast lately, now in effect ranked #2 in her mag, whereas Mew is now the big sis in her team). And both are tall girls (Rika has a fuller body than Mew, tho). :)

She can do tweenie/low-teen fashion modelling, tho, like Rika (PGSM Ami) did back then. :)

By that logic, all of them could, but my original post was framed within the context of mainstream Western modeling as I have no real clue about modeling requirements in Asia. If I do some research for a couple of days, I could re-frame my answer to apply to modeling in Japan, but Western models need to be at least 5'7", even for low-tier work like the Sears catalog(when it existed).

Most actors/actresses in Asia usually end up modelling for front cover pages in magazines and advertisements.

It happens here, too, but celebrities on magazine covers and advertisements aren't the same as professional models who are trying to do this sort of thing for a living.

EDIT:

So, apparently, most Japanese modeling agencies have two sets of requirements: one for Japanese(and half-Japanese) models and for foreign models. Japanese models start at 5'5", foreign models at 5'7".

That said, Makoto, Michiru, Haruka, and Setsuna are the only ones tall enough for modeling work. Hotaru could get work as a child model, as long as she's still a child, but after that, no.

What sort of model? There's different kinds of things to model, you know. Minako would make a better runway model for feminine attire, but Haruka has her beaten into the ground for modeling more masculine fashions. Only Chibiusa and Hotaru are ever small enough to model young childrens' fashions, and only Hotaru could model baby clothes. Any Senshi would be an excellent hand model, and depending on the seasonal colors different Senshi will be able to pull of the latest trends better. For example, Makoto would look fabulous in Earth tones while Minako would look much better in pastels.

BE SPECIFIC, OH SCANDINAVIAN MOUNTAIN CREATURE! WHAT IS BEING MODELED?!!!

You know, as much fun as it is to pick at you and call you that, the only real thing you seem to do that could be considered "trolling" is that you always seem to favor Minako. Beyond that, your threads aren't so bad. I rather enjoy them, actually.

Also, I've never really understood why there should be a height requirement to be a model. Anyone want to explain that one to me? It'd be one thing if it were to not have to make a custom outfit for every model, every time. But the height requirement is set above average for some reason. Aren't these clothes supposed to be purchased by...well...normal people with normal bodies? As in, they don't have the ultra-leggy look by default? Don't get it.

As for Swifty's reply: Zoisite is not one of the Senshi, but oh, hell yes he'd make a good model.

I've noticed that allot of Japanese models are shorter than their Western and European counterparts. Much of that is probably due to genetics. That being said, I'd say Mina probably has the best personality for modeling, but Lita probably has the best body. I doubt Amara wouldn't be caught dead being a model, unless it's private.

Even though I haven't seen all the episodes quite yet (still on Sailor Moon R with 15 episodes remaining), so I'll say that Rei, Makoto and Minako would be the best models.

Rei has the singing talent and confidence to be a model. Mako's athletic body would be perfect for modeling. Mina just simply has the beauty and grace, so she's a natural model.

I think rgveda99's post quoted above should read "Most actors/actresses in Asia usually come from modelling for front cover pages in magazines and advertisements." The PGSM Senshi actresses have also done modeling before, during, & after their working on PGSM. :)

Hotaru could get work as a child model, as long as she's still a child, but after that, no.
After that, she could've grown as tall as M9 & do adult modelling.

That's because the clothes can just look better on tall body figures & all (in the same ways as fashion drawings), when they're seen by fashion purchasers during industry fashion shows, which aren't (at least not primarily) intended to be seen by end consumers. :)

I actually meant what I posted. But yeah some models from the fashion industry do end up as celebrities as well.
