First of all - everyone who's saying "she can't sing" or something like this
in that terrible "analyzing" way should take a microphon and record
himself, then put it up for everyone to listen.
All this pseudo-music-scientists are going on my nervs. :|
Since when do we need to be able to sing ourselves in order to judge who can or cannot sing? Following that logic, we shouldn't be able to criticize anything since we cannot do everything. If a movie sucks, it sucks. If a tv show sucks, it sucks. If a singer can't sing, she can't sing.

Everyone who uses this "YOU CAN'T DEW NE BETTER LOL!" excuse gets on my nerves. Frankly, the argument "can you do any better?" is completely irrelevent. Yeah, I can't sing. How does that impact my judgment on criticizing someone else's singing exactly? If it hurts my ears it freakin hurts my ears.

That entire "you do better" is just another one of the plethora of excuses that people will use to defend/justify their actions.

Understand Pray, that I am not singling you out here, just that statement. I've heard too many people say it to justify their shitty actions.

..........

With all of that said, my vote goes to MARS REIKO SAN because that song is so awesome, I would literally buy her CD assuming she released one just for that song.

I think Jay posted a critique on Hama's single. He even had some clips of her songs just to tell us how off-tune they were. Even though you may not be great in the arts, I suggest you should listen to the clips and then ask yourself if you want to buy her album.

I've listened to "Sakura Fubuki" 100+ times and still can't get it out of my head!

No, you got me wrong.
It's the way HOW some people bring up their opinion.
Not that it's not allowed to criticize.
This "I'm talkin like I've studied this topic"-attitude is going on my nerves.
You know, it's easy to complain about everything and it seems like
some people in this forum do it very often.
Those "complainers" should do it better.

But please, don't get mad about my simple comment.
It's just my personal impression.

P.s. Hoshiko, I'm really interested in your singin - what's your hp?

Well, in my opinion, everyone is free to say what they think they feel, as in other words, voice out their minds.

Yeah, people should be greatful that they sing, but don't forget that we are the ones listening and also, we are the consumers. We have the right to "complain" on whatever that we think should be improved.

Just my worth of two cents...

I think we should leave the "you can't do better" argument to Simon Cowell and/or Jay Navok to determine that. Besides, everyone's a judge and they could say whatever they want, so long as it's not overplayed.

Which means, Valtiel, I should know where you're coming from.

Just realize that there will always be something you like while other people dislike and vice-versa.

The fine line is, no one can do better than Keiko-chan or Ayaka-chan (j/p) ^_^...

I was just saying that it's unnerving me.
Wasn't offending anybody.
Just a simple comment. :|
Come on, let's go back to topic.

I listened to the clis of the new songs and I want to hear all of it. Miyuu's song sounds a lot better than Over Rainbow Tour, but not great. Keiko sounds like she's bored or tired in hers, but I kind of like it. Ayaka's song is very cute.

Pray, I'll pm you with a link.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the singles from Mercury and Jupiter. I couldn't tell much from the clips of Chisaki's songs, other than that the songs weren't the greatest. Her voice, though, is pretty pleasing to the ears, so hopefully, they'll give her a nice song that will fit. I hope Myuu gets some kick-bootay songs for Jupiter. The poor girl has been given the shaft far too much!

Jupiter has a song too? Not that it should surprise me because all of the other girls have one, but yeah :P If there is one, I want to hear it! Her voice is more low pitched. I wonder what her singing voice is like?

They both suck. Hina is wayyy more talented than the both of them (and way hotter too!) Granted, if Rei and Minako ever did a duet I'd be front row center with my bucket of jello.

Yeah, sometimes I think Rei and Minako have something going on. When Rei visits her at the hospital, and they're staring at each other, it looks like the gazes of lovers, lol. P-:

I've yet to be even slightly impressed by any of the singing (I haven't heard Hina yet so I can't say though).
I definitely would and I know that I can do better than what I've heard, because I have. Honestly, I'm sure a lot of people out there can as well. But when they hired these girls they weren't doing it on basis of singing talent, that's for damn sure :o
If you give someone the opportunity to sing in a studio and have someone half-talented at the sound board, trust me, you can make it sound great. I've seen it happen, it's near-miraculous; so when people complain that these girls aren't the best of singers, unless they were singing live (which they weren't) I believe the criticism is pretty justified.

/no holds barred!!

Hmm this it tough!!!

I'm very partial to Venus, but I just love Mars' Sakura Fukubi....but I chose Venus just because her C'est La Vie song is mighty catchy!!!

Moon's song is somewhat annoying to hear over and over again. :)
But it's ok. :)
