I’m sure it was just to show how similar they were. Same name, same hairstyle, similar personality, same blood type, same birthday

We don’t actually know when Princess Serenity was born relative to the Gregorian calendar.

Much as the series acts otherwise, Usagi Tsukino and Princess Serenity are two different people. Usagi Tsukino was born on June 30th we don’t “technically” know when Princess Serenity was born.

cause they were both conceived in october if you wanna get down to the physical element

maybe it's sign of moon royalty to be born on June 30th as is for one to carry the Serenity name

It is just because the story revolves around their similarities and they are both guarded by the Moon. It is entierly possible that even Princess Serenity and Queen Serenity shared the same birthday and it has to do with the Moon Royal family. I happen to share the same birthday with my grandfather and so we share the same name as well.
