I remember first seeing them in silhouette form and thinking "cool". Then again seeing them, I thought "cool" until they left the Inners to fend for themselves, then I thought "cold". Then their unshadowed appearance, I was back to "cool" again, until they started acting like jerks. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me.

I didn't even know about Sailor Saturn because they skipped the episode confirming her existence at the time because of censorship, and I missed the one where Saturn appeared because of after school activities (I missed the whole fight with Mistress 9). So it wasn't until I saw the subbed version years later when I saw Saturn.

I thought, "We have Mercury, Venus, Jupiter & Mars. Now what about Uranus, Neptune, Pluto & Saturn"?

And what do you know, they appeared as regular characters in S (Although Pluto existed in Sailor Moon R as well). :)

I personally thought, "They're awesome! Now if only they would team up with Sailor Moon & the Inners instead of being against them!"

I did very much miss seeing the Outer Senshi in the SuperS anime season, however. (Stupid TOEI! Couldn't you figure SOME way to get them in a few episodes in the second half of the season?) :x
Yeah, I hated that, too. In Sailor Stars, they had gotten it even worse.

They had gotten the shaft & had been reduced to being minor or recurring characters after it's opening arc with Queen Nehellenia because of the Starlights. They're sailor soldiers too, dammit! :x

The edited versions of the original dubs of the movies each had a new opening made from footage of all three movie spliced together. Meaning the Outers were seen in that opening for the R movie.

I remember in 1995 or 96 (holy [deleted] I’m old) I downloaded 2 pics - one was a three way shot of World Shaking the other was a three way shot of Deep Submerge. It took about 10 minutes to download (the AOL days)
At first I was like woah [deleted] is this! They look so cool! Then I found out about the VKLL subs on alt.fan.sailormoon and ordered all three movies on SVHS tapes.
No joke, I fan drew a Sailor Saturn in purple with the exact hair before ever knowing she existed. I based her hair off of Jubilee in Generation X at the time.
Then I fandubbed the R Movie.

I first saw the outers in 1997 in a magazine [not in english] that I found in my building's trash
IDK why the magazine and a ton of manga [all in Japanese] was thrown out but I took 'em and kept them
the thing I saw with the outers was a page promoting a sm fighting game that had all the senshi including Uranus Neptune Pluto and Saturn - then I only recognized inners moon and Pluto

then I saw them in sms in the cwi dub and thought they were mature but also kinda jerks yet I loved them and I still do

Honestly it's been so long since I first found out about the Outers that I don't remember that much about how I felt or even exactly where I remember learning about them. I don't remember the site where I saw it at it but I think I first learned about them from looking at the cover art of the Another Story video game and being intrigued by who these new characters were that I didn't recognize and wanting to learn everything about them. I just remember always feeling like there was an aura of mystery about the Outers that I thought was cool and exciting and made them stand out to me.

Are we counting Pluto's first intro? If yes, then I melted into a puddle of awe. Pluto was this mysterious, gorgeous powerful senshi and I about DIED when I saw her. Pluto was also my favorite planet as a kid, before I found out about her, so it's fitting that I'd love her at first sight. Her black fuku stood out to me as so much more badass than the rest, no sleeves and her earrings and choker and that long green hair. God I loved her. I died of joy when my parents got me the (unfortunate looking) frog faced doll of her for my fourth birthday. I remember they took me to some stupid little kid's playplace type thing for the party, and the whole time I was there I was like ''Ok but lets open presents because I think ya'll got me Sailor Pluto'' and sure enough they did. The whole time we were eating cake and singing Happy Birthday, I was looking at Pluto. Still my second favorite senshi after Moon.

Intro of Netptune and Uranus, I was less interested in them. I found them really cool and new and more 'mature' than the other girls, but Neptune's hair is so chunky looking in the anime and it turned me off a little bit. I never saw Saturn in the dub (too young to know anything about the sub, which I prefer as an adult) because by the time I got to watch it, it wasn't showing on CN very often and I only had the VHS of the first few episodes of S. I knew she existed though, and I was almost as taken with her as I was with Pluto. She's so dark and her fuku is absolutely, without a doubt the best V.1 Sailor Fuku out of them. Her story is still one of my favorites, S being one of my fave seasons.

Sailor Pluto is my favorite Outer Senshi, too. I love her black fuku as well.

I think I always liked them and thought they were pretty badass. I remember first reading about them thru the Internet, then later actually saw them for the first time in the S movie and later the CWI dub of the S season. There was a certain novelty to seeing them on the screen for the first time when previously you'd only heard of them.

Back in the day, I think, when I first watched S, Saturn was my favorite. Nowadays it's Neptune (obviously :)

I was spoiled when someone showed me them S cards ( :mihiru: specifically) when we were still stuck in R series that time.

I was so anxious and excited seeing them in French. Watched it without even understanding anything. S is definitely the pinnacle of awesomeness that I can watch it in any language. ^_^

What if I told you they’re not real people?
real LOL what's with people thinking people who have crushes on fictional characters don't know characters aren't real?

what if I told you I don't care and that just because I have crush on a character don't mean I have no sense of reality
like I'm not gonna marry a Daki of her but I would do it to annoy folks who assume such things and just that reason alone LOL

and really would someone else loving a character effect you specifically in anyway? no? well there ya go

I seen people do way worse than me look at some individuals at the sonic and my little pony fandom shoot me if I were to do the weird stuff they do and this coming from a fan of both

anyways I won't off topic this thread further I said my peace on the subject if anything you gave me a place to quote this in the future should this come up again lol
