real LOL what's with people thinking people who have crushes on fictional characters don't know characters aren't real?

what if I told you I don't care and that just because I have crush on a character don't mean I have no sense of reality
like I'm not gonna marry a Daki of her but I would do it to annoy folks who assume such things and just that reason alone LOL

and really would someone else loving a character effect you specifically in anyway? no? well there ya go

I love Usagi and neither you or anyone else will stop me or change my mind, deal with it

Weird flex but okay

I don’t care what you do I’m just letting you know your Usagi body pillow isn’t gonna get sad if you dry hump your Setsuna barbie doll every now and then.

The Usagi pillow & the Setsuna doll could be fighting bitterly while Rose has left the house - you never know.

About the original question, I first came across the Outers via Hitoshi Doi's Sailor Moon page, when I first looked up Sailor Moon on the Internet.

One aspect that drew me to Sailor Moon was that aside from Rini and Amy, that the civilian characters didn't have crazy hair colors that I had seen in most other anime, and Amy's hair, while blue, was a dark shade of blue. Rini, on the other hand, did have cotton-candy pink hair, but she was clearly special/supernatural. Even Prizma's green hair and Catzy's purple hair were more "slightly unusual" than "neon colors."

So when I saw Sailors Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, and "Chibi Moon" (and was surprised she was a Scout) my first thought was "whoa, these girls have 'anime hair'." Sailor Neptune was the worst offender, as her green waves weren't just unusual in color, but in terms of style.

Then, between Ken Arromdee's Sailor Mon FAQ and Castle in the Sky explained to me who these characters were and I even saw the episode summaries. Initially, before actually watching the episodes, I was actually on Neptune and Uranus' side. If the enemy already extracted a heart crystal, why not just take the extra two seconds to confirm or deny it is a talisman?

However, when I watched the episodes in the dub, I got to see how awful the process of heart crystal extraction was and I could see why the Sailor Team was chewing them out. I definitely did not like them for years after that, and I was unnerved by Pluto going along with this since she had seen the Inners in action. Also, I thought it was dumb that they were ready to kill a girl because she might awaken into a Sailor Scout; based on the few summaries I saw I was under the impression they were suspecting she was Mistress 9.

So my first reaction was, "these girls are 'anime-weird.'"

I loved them. They were gorgeous. Looked mature and outclass the originals in every other way....almost. I mean Haruka is astonishing to look at...and Michiru with her long flowing hair. I was always waiting on a hair flip or any turn from her. I legit love Uranus and Neptune. I love them all...but I def enjoyed their appearance. I saw them before I saw the show and was overjoyed.

Concerning Neptune, what I meant was that her hair stood out because it was wavy (which is something you don't see in animation and even less so in anime) and because it's teal. It does contrast against the other hair colors sharply.

Look at the inners. Of the main five, the only one with a hair color that would not occur in real life without dye is Sailor Mercury, and even her blue hair is relatively subdued. By contrast, a lot of the anime characters of that time and aimed at a similar audience had different colors hair like green hair, purple hair, etc.

What attracted me to Sailor Moon was how it was different from a lot of anime. I love anime hair colors, but I was struck by how the characters seemed to have normal hair in comparison to the crazy colors I had seen in other anime. Thus, when I saw the profile for Neptune, it was a visual reminder that Sailor Moon was an anime.

i thought they were 'snooty' kind of people, while i do like their overall looks. my opinion is pretty much the same right now, too. they seemed cold and distant unlike inners....

True, I agree. I made a topic about this not long ago.
