Wow, this act was really good. It had everything--love, love angst, family, humor, dire straits, sexual innuendo, 007-esque action--you name it!

I love Ikuko. She just cracks me up like nothing else! That whole reporter thing just takes the cake! Especially when Usagi and Shingo are shaking those things with the snow. Shingo was really cute!

Mio was really hawt. Did anyone else think that? I guess that's Endymion's room and if it is, what's she doing in there? O.o I almost didn't recognize her. I was like... wtf! Is that Queen Metaria!?!?!?!

And Nephrite working at Crown!!??? I thought I was going to die!! I was like, who the heck is Motoki talking to??

That youma... WOW. Sniper youmas!! I wonder what would have happened if he had hit Usagi?

Sailor Luna and Kunzite--Hehe... that was funny. I thought they were gonna duel. Well, at least Kunzite didn't let her bonk him on the head again. Although, I love that fan and do they have to for sale also? Rina was extra cute in this one.

My heart just stopped when Endymion started swinging at Moon. My heart really did stop when he knocked the Moon Wand out of her hand. Then it stopped again when the watch fell off from around her neck (I'm assuming) and then it breaks!!

It looked like she was holding her hands out and I thought the Crystal was going to appear! Wow, I thought the world was getting destroyed again. Miyuu's tears are so heartbreaking! Poor Shingo...

And did it look like... for the slightest bit there, that Endymion actually cracked and showed some concern before he walked off? I thought so.

Again, the Senshi are MIA. I thought they were gonna show up at the beginning on the roof and pound some Shitennou ass. Guess not.

Great act! Loving this plot but unfortunately, it's not advanced very much in this episode. Still a nice act.

Well, I'm ecstatic after reading the transcript. So, Endymion spoiled his whole mission. Darn. I was hoping for more love angst. Oh well. Still a great act. And did I mention there was a lotta love?

I'm surprised they make absolutely no mention of Kenji Papa who they said earlier in the series is also a TV reporter. What's with all the kissing? Maybe they saw that we have been fretting about how Endymion and Serenity don't really kiss and now they're bombarding us to real kissing. :P

I also wonder how they can afford to crack that beautiful watch. It must've been expensive.

I spent all day babysitting and had to wait forever for my brothers to get off. It's only at 20%!!!! I can't wait, but I can't stay up too late because I have to go to a party tomorrow morning! Kaaj, what was the sexual innuendo? I don't get it from the transcript, but I usually am clueless.

Well... I was hoping for sexual innuendo with this cap but it seems the transcript says otherwise. >< Sorry marspeach!

I'm really not happy with the direction they've taken Mamoru. Have they forgotten Act 32 already? Especially since they just showed the scene again in Act 38. From the Shingetsu transcript:

Quote:
Mamoru: Our relationship will destroy this planet. To those who don't want the past to repeat itself, we are a bad omen.

Usagi: Mm-hmm.

Mamoru: Do you believe it?

Usagi: But even so-!

Mamoru: I won't believe it. I’ve decided that. That's why I came home. To prove it--together, with you.

Mamoru: There’s no way...that the planet will be destroyed.

Yes, that's what he said. But he has a brief chat with Beryl, well known as the most trustworthy person in the world, rather than a ruthless enemy, and all of a sudden it's:

Quote:
Mamoru: The Illusionary Silver Crystal will bring calamity to Earth.

Usagi: That's why you're going to fight me?

Mamoru: We can't let the planet be destroyed. I just came to tell you that. If we meet again, even if it's me, don't think you're safe.

Some love he has for Usagi. With a few words, he's convinced of the exact opposite position he had previously, to the extent that he's willing to fight (kill?) her. After all the development of their relationship, I find this very disappointing. I'd rather he'd been brainwashed like the anime/manga. Sure, it's lame, but at least that way he isn't choosing to abandon his love for Usagi on the word of Beryl.

95%. ETA: five minutes. Can I wait that long? I think I would have been better off if I hadn't read the transcript before it finished downloading. ^_^

Well, I totally supports Mamoru's decision on fighting against Usagi because he still have time to bring down Berly and gives time for Usagi to control the crystal!! :)

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS ACT WAS SO GOOD!!! Good comeback from last week!!! 8)

I was pretty much amazed and shocked of what happened, but for the time I was cracking up!! I wish I have a mom like that!!! :D

I don't want to sum up what I like in this act, but rather post some questions about it!!

^_^ !!!Love this line from Endymion to SM: You must believe in yourself, not from me!!! ^_^

Questions:
*I was amazed from the effects of the crystal, it sure will blow up the planet if it is possible!! However, is it because Usagi didn't know how to handle the crystal and that's why this happened?

*Mamoru, I know you love her. But, how far will you go to hurt your lover? Is hurting her more means loving her more?

*Still wonder why Kunzite didn't acknowledge Endymion as "Master" when he entered the room to see Endymion.

*Mio, why is she on Endymion's bed?? :wtf: :wtf: Are they going to ummm, ne???

Finished with the episode already, since I watched it in fast forward again. Not much else to do without sound. Yes, I will constantly remind all other forum members that I do not have sound and that it upsets me.

Mamoru is being really annoying. Why did he have to go and break the watch? What money wasted. How does he even have money now since he's not with Hina anymore? Don't tell me her daddy still takes care of him.

Miyuu looked really pretty as Sailor Moon. That blonde wig just looks so beautiful on her. She should dye her hair blonde.

The Tsukino family adventures with Shachou, however pointless, were really funny. He is a pervert, kissing poor Luna like that. Shingo's hanging off that bridge was soooo realistic and scary and all too. :x How the I need a hug did he manage to pull himself up??????

Minako and Artemis at the end was so adorable! I can't wait for some Minako and Mars Reiko action next week. Hopefully Mamoru will stop being annoying.

EDIT- Sailor Luna's sweets make my teeth rot. Is that Nephy working at the Crown?

I watched it. :grey: It would've been a good episode if it weren't for all the cheesy Sailor Luna CG effects. Seriously, the first sequence where she rolls her head and does sparkly stuff to sense where the youma is is just... :grey: Compared to Mercury's same sequence in Act 5, this is just so cheesy. Also, the same with Luna's mega halisen and her magical attack. Add to the fact that my least favorite character is SAILOR Luna. Other than that, this was a pretty good episode.

Did you notice Beryl only had about 5 seconds of screentime? Also, at the very start of the episode where Mamoru tells Sailor Moon about him being her enemy, Sailor Moon gasped a little too hard and her tiara went flap-flap. :P

The manager creeps me out. :grey: I wonder if he is made to act like that for his character? Anyway, Miyuu does look a lot better with the blonde Sailor Moon wig. :P Maybe because the normal black odango ponytail look is a bit childish for her. They should do a different variation of it somehow to make it look better.

If anyone watched the PGSM extra in the DVD Volume 2, I think Miyuu has some odango near the bottom of her head instead of to her sides and then a ponytail from it. I think that would be great with a few adjustments of course. :P

This episode was great! Cracked me up tons! :P

Sad to see that Mamoru had to resort to such measures...but I guess he hasn't completely given up hope of their being together someday (provided that he doesn't kill her of course :x ):

"Someday, I swear, the day will come when we will be together."

The manager and Ikuko were fantastic! I was also pleasantly surprised with Human-Luna's acting for this episode; her line delivery was full of spunk!

I really liked that hairstyle on her too. At first I thought it would be good for Serenity but I like your idea to use it for Usagi. Don't think it will happen, but she would look so nice if it did.

Loved the Luna action kissing the manager though..... it became very disturbing when I realised that Luna is a little girl. Ick!

Also, Nephrite working at Crown... wonder if the girls will notice?

This ep gets my vote for the funniest ep to date.

That was a wonderful episode. I was so worried when i saw Shingo on that bridge and Usagi was in a trance. I thought it'll turn into a tragedy.

From what i read it seems that you guys thought that Mamoru is being a jerk? Personally, i think that he's doing well (compared to what happened in R), it was logical/tactical, he wanted to prove that being together doesn't mean the world will be destroyed therfore he's trying for ways to achieve this while being in the enemy's clutches (so he could move freely even though he's a prisoner).

He showed that he believed in Usagi when he told Mio that Usagi is not that weak, he also didn't cut her down when it seems that she will destroy the world again but instead tell her to control it. So he said some harsh words and break the watch, I think the words are just to stregthen her and i don't think he knew the watch was there :p

I like how the story is developing, there's still much comedy even as the story's becoming serious and much to look forward to even when it's about 12 episodes left :)

Mamoru is being the tough teacher here and Usagi is the student.

At first when I was watching the episode I was like :wtf: but when I saw Sailor Luna in action again I fell in love with her some more. Its messed up how they teased us towards the end making it seem like Usagi would turn princess again, I'm starving for some harp sword action. It's amazing how this episode was both serious and funny at the same time.

I think the only term appropriate for the TV-reporter-training sequence is

"off da hook"

or similar, superlative colloquialisms.

Basically, it was beautifully executed and hysterical. That's all I really want to talk about as to Act 39 but I guess I should make a plot comment or two.

I will say though that I like the direction with Mamoru. They need to make this as tragic as possible since they can't show the ultimate tragedy, Sailor Moon killing Endymion and committing suicide at the end. In a way, it's almost cooler. If the killing stuff went on, you'd be upset for maybe that Act, but then everyone gets reincarnated and whatever. This way you draw it out. Mamoru has no brainwashing; Usagi has this uncontrollable devastating power that almost kills her little brother, etc. I love it. The sacrificial theme also shows up in other ways, e.g. Venus tossin in the microphone.

It's nice to actually watch this act before the noon hour passes. *happy* I was lucky it came out before I went to bed last night.
Anyway! This was a decent episode. I just wish they could have cut out a bit of the silliness to focus more on the important matters at hand, but then again, that would probably make the kiddies lose interest real quick. They just don't appreciate the angst like we do. Ikuko's adventures in journalism were amusing to watch, but...the fields of 'Nam were a bit much. And she had to drag her poor children along with her.
Ok, Mio is just TRYING to fling herself at Mamoru, huh? I noticed that Kunzite is a LOT more meek around his Master now...I REALLY wanna know what Mamoru did to him last act to have both wounded him and made his attitude calm down a bit. Aaargh, my kingdom for some flashbacks! :x (mostly just Moon Kingdom flashbacks...I can just use my imagination to see Endymion stomping Kunzite into the ground and making him cry *giggles* "I'm sorry I touched your buns in our past lives! Stop hitting me!")
I was kinda worried when Sailormoon was letting the Ginzuishou go out of control there...but the question still remains, why does SHE have it? Why did she have it on the moon? Are they just going to completely disregard Queen Serenity? Or will they say that, perhaps, she perished earlier on, and she gave the Princess the crystal then? When ARE they showing Moon Kingdom flashbacks??? It was pure luck that Shingo had a stage hand helping him, or he would never have been able to climb back up onto the bridge. Heh heh...but it WAS pretty scary to see what just that small fraction of the Ginzuishou's power was doing. Usagi could very well kill her family and friends without meaning to do so! Makes me think...do NOT make that girl upset! Give her your cake, buy her whatever she wants, just don't let her cry, or the Earth is history.
I guess Minako is getting worse, or just perhaps losing all hope, since she's wanting to quit. The moon phases came up at a very dramatic moment this week.

Oh yes...what was with the plushie action this act?! I'd cry if Minako's manager has kissed me, too. Poor Luna. But it was nice to see a sample more of comical Minako amidst all of these bad goings-on when she wanted to kiss Artemis. That poor kitty....

Ikuko cracks me up. When I saw that fire appear in her eyes, I thought about Shaolin Soccer and half expected her to break out into dance with the manager.

My heart just stopped when Endymion started swinging at Moon. My heart really did stop when he knocked the Moon Wand out of her hand. Then it stopped again when the watch fell off from around her neck (I'm assuming) and then it breaks!!

I betcha you were expecting him to grab Sailormoon and kiss her passionately, ne ne? ohohohohoho ^_~ *nudgenudge winkwink* :rantipole:

Nephy working at Crown????? cor blimey I have GOT to see that!!!!!!!!! How on earth did he get employed there? Surely Motoki wouldn't have given him a recommendation. He knocked all that stuff to the ground and was all uber-guy-PMSed. I wonder what'll happen when Ami walks through the doors and sees Nephy standing there and telling her that her yearlong pass is worth crap ^__^

Yea, that Mio sitting on Endymion's bed act seemed a little mature for their target audience, even though nothing happened. Although, I like how Mio's being all cutesy cutesy, best actress for playing such an evil character. *waves around tiny japanese flag fans for Alisa*

rantipole Saicho and Ikuko! I wondered why they always acted so crazy! It's b/c they're friends! cor blimey I thought I would die when he kissed Luna. Those eyes were priceless! Same goes for Minako and Artemis, although it she didn't actually kiss him.

Act 40 please!

Interestingly, the ginzuishou had always been quoted before as having enough power to destroy a planet and whatnot, but that theme was never fleshed out. We never actually got to see the ginzuishou in enemy hands and we certainly never got to see it just go out of control even in the right hands. So how do we know it has more power than to just toast a big baddy villain or too, or just heal things? PGSM makes the dangerous power of the crystal very clear.

That's probably a big motivation for playing the story out as they are currently doing.

This will be the last episode I watch for three weeks! Gah! But it was a good episode to leave with.

I was so hoping Moon would run to Shingo's aid and give her brother a sense of hero worship :D Too bad.

Ikuko is so funny and full of spunk. All the kissing jokes were a nice touch as well.

No complaints about this ep. :)
