Does anybody know if it has a name?

Was that supposed to be Jupiter Coconut Cyclone, Flower Hurricane or something else?

I think all the attacks in that opening are more or less unknown. :P

Since it's in an OP, it could've been rendered for artistic purpose only, so it mightn't be anything actually seen in the show. :)

I wonder if Toei keeps some unused stock footage for those unknown attacks kinda like the arcade game for unused sprites.

I always thought that those were their manga attacks. Aqua Mirage, Wink Sword, Snake Fire etc. so I'd say that it's Coconut Cyclone.

If those attacks were tailor-made for the OPs only, I don't think there'd be any - you'd have already seen the entire footage of those attacks in the OPs. :)

Brad from moon-kitty pointed out in one of his updates that the attacks shown by the inners in the S opening are Mercury Aqua Rhapsody, Mars Snake Fire, Jupiter Coconut Cyclone, and Venus Wink Chain Sword, which makes sense because these attacks were their ultimate attacks at the time in the Infinity Arc of the Manga.

I'm just checking it out in youtube and paused Mars' attack in the opening. And it is Mars Snake Fire.
Just give me a few minutes to take a pic.

Edit:
Here it is.

That's awesome - they put the manga-only stuff into an anime OP! :oh:

It's kind of annoying you only notice this things after a few years. Kinda like that clock ticking noise in Pluto's transformation.

It bothers me that I think Toei made some unused stock footage that was never completed.

Edit:
Just wondering also why some youtube 'fan attack' artist don't use these to make fan attacks.

I could kinda forgive myself for that since I haven't read all parts of the manga in detail. :P

Could be that its still in the sketching/drafting phase and decided to drop it because of budget reasons. After all S is the shortest season.

I'd like to see those sketches if they do exist.

I think Stars is even shorter, tho.

I'm having a problem with Venus' attack. It still looks like Venus Love Me Chain from all angles.

In the Manga, Venus uses the chain for Venus Wink Chain Sword.

Love and Beauty Shock also uses a chain in the manga.

Anyway, I'm leaning toward the budget for the exclusion of these attacks. The inner senshi were also supposed to upgrade to Planet Power, but didn't. They had a ton of new attacks and transformations to introduce for Sailor Moon, Chibimoon, and the Outer Senshi. Ikuko Itoh's hand was probably falling off. xD

I actually suspect that the anime could even have been ended after the manga, if not for the 200-episode target, which, yes, was probably due to budget constraints.

Maybe the contract only specified 200 episodes?

Annoying, as in "it was right in front of me all this time!" :P That's pretty cool, though. I never directly related them to the manga attacks. Kudos for bringing this up.

What angers me is that if these attacks could be used in the OP then why the Heck could they not be used in the actual show.

She's doing her old pose in Bubble Spray without having to charge a ball of cold air.

Did you saw the 1st opening? After the fog clears she submerges herself in water. Kinda like Neptune's transformation. Although its not clear if its a projectile or a defense spell.

Contracts can be re-negotiated should there be such a sufficiently big need.
