It's Sailor Moon Pac Man (or PacWoman or mabey Ms. Sailor Moon Pac Man)

Either way it's cool

Try to modefy the move command in Game Maker to allow the player to turn coners or go through passages eisier.

I tried that but then is usagi moving like drunk :-D I really dont know why :-D maybe because she is so small 8)

....ehm I am editing also a shooting game but I am stuck on what kind of enemies should I add. I put pokemon creatures but I dont like it very much. I was thinking to add some flying dragons or something .....pls any idea?

The scorpions kept on killing me! I could finish of the game but I'm to lazy! n_n

ok I resized the sprite, she is now moving without problems but she is too small I think... :cry:

Thus far my best score is 3720. Moving around corners is a real problem. Also, it looks like Usagi's sprites were scaled down and that's why they look somehow blurry compared to walls, scorpions and items. I would suggest either using some another set of sprites or increasing all other objects so that you can you use Usagi's sprites without scaling them.

Did you make the sprites still smaller? I think it would be better to make bounding box bigger instead - 30x30 pixels or something like that so that Usagi can change direction only when there is a passage available (and cannot change it when moving between two walls like it's now).

How about sprites from "Panic in Nakayoshi World"?

I checked the game right now and Usagi's sprite (front) is 26x28 pixels - almost ideal size for your game.

OK I tried the nakayoshi sprite but it didnt work. the game was freezing sometimes when she was walking near the wall. so I used the old sprite from the first version of the game. but try this out:

HELP with moving Usagi:
You can already press the correct key before you reach the corridor (but keep it pressed).

It required a little bit of practise but it works. :-D

so here is the final version.

I tried the new version, but to tell the truth, I do not see any differences :(
Usagi still is get stuck at passages and that's the main reason why scorpions catch me. Usagi's sprites are still blurry and the sprite for moving to left is smaller than one for walking to right.

the sprite for "left walking" isnt smaller but I really dont know why it appears so...the sprites from nakayoshi are cuter and smaller but you cant change direction without freezing usagi.

in the previous one with the old sprite you can move easily with pressing the arrow keys and holding it.

if you have an idea I will be glad to hear it. because I tried everything,
I am thinking about making a yellow ball (like pacman) with odango hair style but I dont think it will work better.

or maybe try another senshi? I dont think it will work well either.

First of all, I do not see how sprites from the Nakayoshi game can "freeze" anything. It's not sprites, but bounding boxes around them that make difference. As to moving problems, why don't you just copy the events from "pacman"-type game that comes as an example with GM? It works without problems. The whole thing with sticking on corners occurs because Usagi doesn't take the whole passage and she can walk from one wall to another (while Pacman cannot). It can be fixed either by resizing bounding boxes or by increasing distance to walls you check in key press events.

Alternatively, may be you can share the source file with me? I think I can fix both things.

I dont have the pacman example game and when I downloaded GM there wasnt any example games. (I downloaded it from BT) I can check the box_object but I dont think there is the problem.

the other sprite usagi has a big hair so if she hit the wall she dont want to move and freezes there near wall.

the best choice will be a rounded usagi pacman-style

Unless you are using precise collision checking, of what importance the hair is? It's bounding box that must interact with walls, not sprite itself.

If the width of passage is 32 pixels and sprite from the Nakayoshi game is maximum 28 pixels, and, for instance, you set width of bounding box to 28 or 30 pixels, how then Usagi can "go through objects" while it's obvious that she is still smaller than passages and thus cannot have difficulties moving through them? To tell the truth, I am not sure if I understand why you cannot fix that problem :?:

Playing it won't help me to understand how moving 28 pixels characters through 32 pixels passage can cause any problems. That can be seen only in source code and that's you who are supposed to know how to fix that :?

I would suggest also adding to the game a title screen with standard start/exit/ help(maybe) menu items or just with "press any button to start" message. While it won't add anything to gameplay, I think it will give the game a more polished appearance.
