Apparently the Final Chapters soundtrack was released digitally in France last month with no promotion at all so not many knew about it until now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dozFQ7Iq0yM - Let It Burn

It was revealed a few months ago that there was another song made for the international version and that's what this is. It was performed by Masatoshi Ono (in Engrish just like with Fight It Out) & composed by Yasuharu Takanashi (yeah, the Sailor Moon Crystal composer).

World Premiere April 11, 2015 at Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, CA

It’s the news fans have been waiting for! FUNimation Entertainment is proud to announce its acquisition of the theatrical, home entertainment, video on demand and broadcast rights to the upcoming Japanese animated feature film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ represents the nineteenth feature film in the Dragon Ball series. Series creator Akira Toriyama was directly involved in the film’s production, just as he was in the highly successful Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The English dub of the new film will be released in theaters across North America in Summer 2015.

However, fans of the franchise may not have to wait until summer to get a look at the film! FUNimation Entertainment has teamed up with 20th Century FOX & Toei Animation to host the world premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ (in Japanese w/ English subtitles) at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, April 11. So, if you’re in the Los Angeles area you can be among the first in the world to see Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’. A limited amount of tickets to the premiere will be available to fans and the general public beginning today at dragonballz.com.

Wow, didn't expect Funi to license the movie so fast. Yay for it coming on DVD soon!

I hope that we'll hear Chris Ayres as Freeza. That will be worth the price of admission.

Also I hope we hear something about FUNi getting "The Final Chapters" for DBZ Kai. Perhaps they plan to air it on Toonami…

Ugh, and here I thought FLOW's version was the worst I've heard (especially with the Autotune, those guys are good singers and didn't need it).

I'll be looking forward to this though, if only to hear if the music itself is any good. One good thing about their Sailor Moon covers is the music itself and if this turns out any good then that could make up for if their singing is bad and the instrumental that's included would be even better.

More like he doesn't sound like a heavy smoker. P-:

Yeah, she's great and she has also been voicing Kid Goku in newer stuff as well including the newest Xenoverse game which has GT Goku as DLC.

Speaking of Xenoverse, does anybody here have that game?

I do, and it's great! I think it's the best DB game to come out in the past few years. I like how you can make your own character and have him learn any move you want. Game of the year for me!

UGH, international master with Engrish songs confirmed, just like with Battle of Gods.

EDIT: Speaking of terrible...

This makes FLOW's cover better in comparison. :dead:

The original international cut of Buu = 69 episodes
The "Oops, we screwed up with Toriko so we're bringing Kai back." Japanese cut of Buu = 61 episodes

8 episodes less, what a mess. :|

I realize most of my memories of Linda Young came from the games where she had improved from the show, but I'll miss her...

ANN wrote:
FUNimation Entertainment announced on Tuesday that its limited theatrical run of the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' film will be from August 4-12. Theater locations and times have not yet been announced.

Chris Ayres is returning to play Frieza in the English dub. He previously played the character in the Dragon Ball Z Kai edition of the earlier television anime series. Todd Haberkorn will join the cast as Jaco.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' premiered on 658 screens in both 2D and 3D in theaters across Japan on April 18, although advance screenings were held before then. The film is the first Japanese film to open in 3D IMAX Digital Theaters.

The film will eventually screen in 74 countries worldwide. Funimation hosted the North American premiere of the film on April 11 in Los Angeles.

Original manga creator Akria Toriyama is personally credited with the original concept, screenplay, and character designs of the new movie. Dragon Ball Z animation director Tadayoshi Yamamuro directed the new movie. Pop idol group Momoiro Clover Z (Sailor Moon Crystal, Bodacious Space Pirates) performed the film's theme song, and also voiced roles in the movie, playing "angels" of hell that reside where the protagonist Son Goku's enemy Frieza has been imprisoned.

Toriyama said in an interview in November that the 'F' in the film's title stands for "Frieza," who is revived in the film. Toriyama noted that he thought of the title while listening to "F" by rock band Maximum The Hormone, whom he came to know personally through a friend. The song itself features Frieza as a motif, and is used as a "battle song" during one of the battle scenes in the film. The band originally released the song as its eighth single in July 2008.

Has there been any updates on when The Final Chapters of Kai are to be released in English dub form? I'm dying to see it.

Nothing from FUNi yet but recent comments from Sean Schemmel seem to indicate that the dub's not finished yet since he is still recording his lines and has 2 weeks left to record.

Meanwhile France released the first box set last week.

And here's a positive review.

Meanwhile, still no word yet on the English dub of Kai's Buu saga, eh?

Thankfully there's Super to watch every week to make the wait for Buu a bit less frustrating.

I wish FUNi would say something about it. Are they waiting for Kai's Cell Saga to finish on Toonami before announcing it?
