The video on top has all the originals (the ones from 1982); it has Paulina Rubio, Sasha Sökol, Benny Ibarra, Diego Schoening, Erick Rubin, Alex Bauer, and Mariana Garza, but they're singing a remake of an old song that my son likes when he's cranky. If you saw the novela "Soñadoras", you may remember Diego; he played Benjamin, the one with braces who later died. If you saw "El Premio Mayor", you may remember Sasha; she was one of Wicho's illegitimate daughters. Benny had a few hit singles in the early 2000's and had a cameo on the Mexican "Ugly Betty".

I didn't know who the original members were. I do have some Erick Rubin songs on my iPod
( dejame).

I really want to watch "Sonadoras" because people tell me it's a lot like "Amigas y Rivales."

While I do like "La Fea Mas Bella," I think the original Colombian version of the show is superior.

DE-FI-NI-TI-VO; the main villain's catch-phrase.

ETA: Arath de la Torre is one of the main characters, but he's the "comic relief" of the group; as opposed to "Amigas y Rivales" where he was the main leading guy.

Gracias!

I'll start watching it as soon as I finish watching the third season of ABC's "Revenge," which I just purchased.

I started watching "Corazon Indomable" last week, but I am not sure if I'll finish it.

Weird, for alcohol is a sedative. It's good when things are bad and you want to forget them, or as a relaxer.

I started watching this, and I am loving it! It didn't age well, but I like it.

Arath de la Torre looks so young. They made Michelle Vieth look like an old woman!

I am loving this soap.

Losing myself in a novel, show, or game usually puts me in a better mood. Also, I always have my phone handy to listen to music. Lately, upbeat Sailor Moon music has been keeping me perked up.

I agree, it's interesting to because I have been away from my SM love for quite some time. Then all this SM news and Viz getting the licenses not too mention Crystal, and trying to finish my Manga collection is making my SM love come back with a vengeance.

It's not that, I just want someone to cry to and hold on to and love...Too bad I'm ridden with flaws.

Has someone said something to you? The other day you asked me if you were boring.

Trust me Hypno, you are funny, entertaining and a very mature teenager.

I know it might not be much since we're on the interweb, but...

15 can be a difficult age. You feel you have flaws, insecurities. All these things go away as you get older and wiser.

For me, it was more difficult than to others because I am gay. I didn't have much of a life until my early-20's. I finished my undergraduate degree, went to the U.S. on a scholarship to do a master's degree, fell in love with my husband, and he and I moved to Canada. We married, have been together for 6 years now, and I am very, very happy.

ALL OF THIS.

Sailor Moon, along with rediscovering both my childhood interests and anime in general, has been keeping me happy.

He's the comic relief. Michelle Vieth looking the way she looks is part of the joke.

Well, once you become legal you may have more options. I'm married, so don't ask me out in 2017.

I enjoy watching telenovelas because they help me retain the Spanish I've learned.

I am hoping "Sonadoras" eventually becomes as crazy as "Amigas y Rivales." Since it is a telenovela produced by Emilio Larrosa, I think it has the potential. ;)

Btw, I am also watching Quinceanera, and the theme song is by Timbiriche.

I saw that one, but I prefer the 2000 reboot (Primer Amor: a 100XHora). Despite I can't stand Anahi Puente, Ana Lavyeska and Mauricio Islas kept me hooked up on it. They were awesome.

My favorite novela produced by Emilio Larrosa has to be "El Premio Mayor". It's a great social commentary...and incredibly funny as well.

You would probably enjoy this new show called "Joan, the Virgin". Is the American reboot of a Venezuelan soap from the early 2000's. The show is mostly in English but some characters speak in Spanish (Jane's grandma only speaks Spanish, while Jane's estranged dad speaks both): all the main characters are Latin-Americans.

Oh, "Primer Amor" was great, I watched it from beginning to end.

These are the telenovelas I am *always* watching and re-watching:

Cuna de Lobos (by far, the best telenovela I've seen; a very compelling thriller!)
Amigas y Rivales (Interesting characters, a scary villain)
Teresa (very well-done; Angelique Boyer did a great job)
Rubi (just as interesting as Teresa)

We should make a separate thread for telenovelas. I'm like an encyclopedia when it comes to them. Well, I also studied RTF so it makes sense.
