That said, I'm sure Viz is well aware of the goof, but they probably just weren't allowed to fix it because Toei is a mess.

Yeah...not gonna happen.

It's like an art gallery curator deciding to make changes to somebody's artwork, for the sake of improving it.

The wrong wand footage is a mistake, clearly.

VIZ could just substitute the correct stock footage.

DIC used to change the footage all of the time.

So why could DIC do that and not VIZ?

Doesn't make any sense.

It's a very easy change, but they probably can't do it because they would need Toei's approval.

Toei should have fixed it themselves. Or better yet, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Viz is not responsible for Toei's blunders.

VIZ most likely can't do it because DIC could do it, it makes a lot of sense. Toei is much more hands on with the foreign adaptations now than it was in the past and I wouldn't be surpsised if the atrocious job DIC did at adapting Sailor Moon is one of the reasons why.

One problem Dic was able to change scenes because of censorship. Toei give approval for that being that all or rather most majority of anime in the 90s and early 2000s were changed and censored to fit the age rang in the US on many early Saturday morning shows.

I think it's possible for Viz to correct that scene, but they have to ask for permission, I don't think TOEI can be that stupid to say no.
But VIZ need to have the interest of doing it and also be aware of the error.

If it cost money to change for TOEI, they probably won't do it.

It's not Viz's job to do anything with that mistake.

This so much, Dic this for cencerhip purpose . Which a lot of countries did, to aiir sailor moon in there conties . Viz is doing an uncut, and un alter release of the sailor moon series . Which is different

This also, why do people want Viz to fix mistake toei did . That s not viz s job, or jurisdiction . There job is to release Crystal to do public .

what if 20 seconds of footage was just a black screen and VIZ had the footage.

you'd want the black screen just because Toei did it?

well anyway, VIZ will do whatever it wants. It's not like this one scene is the only error in the animation anyway, it is just so GLARINGLY apparent is all.

Viz can't do whatever it wants without Toei's permission. They aren't a animation company thru just dub the anime . There really haven't fixed they many animation mistakes because it's not their job

But they did fix/change a scene from the 4th episode of the 90s anime.

We are only talking about substituting the correct stock footage in order to correct a scene.

We all know VIZ is not responsible to redraw images.

No one thinks Viz is an animation studio. No one is saying for Viz to animate new footage or to correct art errors. No one is even saying that Viz is responsible for or obligated to fix Toei's mistakes. People are just saying that it *would* be easy for Viz is to fix this one mistake that Toei was too stupid to fix in the first place, that it *would* be nice if they'd fix it, and that we understand it's probably not going to happen because it's probably out of their control. It's really not a difficult concept, so I don't get why some people here are struggling to grasp it...

It's not that people are struggling to grasp the idea of Viz fixing that scene. It's that people bringing up that idea potentially sound like they're demanding that Viz fix the scene and would complain at Viz for not fixing it. But if they already recognize that Viz most likely will not fix the scene, what's then the point in their bringing up the already-acknowledged-as-unlikely possibility in the first place if not to just gripe some more about the faulty scene long after that dead horse was already beaten by these same people?

I just wanted to say whoever has this preorderd from rightstuff they have a free 30 yr viz coin ( nothing to do with sailor moon ). I preorderd a long time ago before the offer so i was not going to get it. Being they still have the GWP I went ahead and cancelled it and reorderd so i could get the coin. Its a limited time offer all viz orders over $30 get one only on orders during the promo no previous preorders. I liked the sailor moon coins so i thought it would be cool to have the viz one also. Sadly you have to call to cancel but there nice. There website made me think it was for manga only thats why i only did this now as its been offered for a week or two.

Edit: it works on s also just tried adding it to my cart. I payed with PayPal on that order though would be a pain to cancel and reorder that. There website says nothing about 1 per house or person I would think you could get more then one.

Love the set everything looks great. Disappointed the sun catcher is plastic but I figured that when I first read about that being the GWP. Hope the next set has something better.

Looks good. I actually watched some clips from the dub and I lowkey enjoyed it. It was with Sailor Jupiter. I noticed how the Eng dub adds in words like hell & ☹ but I was giggling thinking how awesome it'd be to have Mako say what she does in PGSM...Don't **** with me!!

Do you at least remember if it was in their original subbed version or in their redone subs?

I think she said it two or three times that season. I remember her saying it on her debut episode and I believe the episode where she and Rei got into their little disagreement and the episode where she fought againt Kunzite. When I first saw it, I was thinking that they realled stepped up in language and gave Mako an edge.

I also remember in the musical where Rubeius tells Esmeralde not to **** up...and I was like ..ummmm Wow.
