The subtitles for the first two seasons of Crystal had a few grammar issues but were mostly passable but those season three subtitles were atrocious. You don't even have to know Japanese to know how hard it was to just understand the dialog at times. It was fine in the first few episodes but towards the end it got as bad as a bootleg at times. The latest Tri movie also had subtitle issues though not quite as bad. But most other simulcast subtitled anime don't have as many problems with their subtitles so this has to be another Toei problem. Toei has no excuse for this kind of laziness when every other simulcast anime has much better subtitles with no issues. So I just hope they get a better subtitle translator for season four to make it more bearable to watch.

I'd like this, but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. Best we can hope for is Crunchyroll decides to start improving the translations again. (like with season 2)

Recently, I have been re-watching SMC with English subtitle (Hulu version).
I feel that the translator opened the manga and typed what he saw. While 20 - 30% of the lines in SMC were changed.
I don't have American edition of manga, but it seems that the subtitle was translated directly from Japanese manga.

Subtitles aren't an issue for me because I know how to edit them.
