A thread to discuss The Walking Dead series, both the comic and the show. As of this writing, we just witnessed the mid-season finale, and Sophia's death.

That is proof that this series is headed a different turn then the comics.

Who knows...it could be even more depressing.

That's most likely. However, it seems to be headed towards more of the typical zombie apocalypse movie.... I felt the comics had more of the zombies were the background, not the central focus. Of course, this is still relatively early.

I wish someone would just kill Shane already. Carl killed him in the comics a long time ago, he needs to do it in the show sometime soon.

Agreed, but do remember that the series is still in the infant stages (second season) so it will be a good while before that happens.

Yes, but according to my boyfriend he never made it out of the first camp in the comics. I don't know if they have a bigger plan for him or what, but he's grown beyond part of a love triangle to a psychotic ass. Oh, who am I kidding, he's been an ass from the start of the series. First he lies to Laurie and tells her Rick is dead so he can have her all to himself, and now he's basically ruining everyone's chance for survival AND killing the people who are taking him in because he's mad about how things aren't going his way. Shane doesn't deserve to live.

Technically speaking, he expected Rick to die when the zombies hit the hospital. He's still an ass, though.

He is right. He dies after the camp raid after him and Rick get into it. Carl shoots him in the neck. He even comes back as a walker later, but not for long because Rick blasts him in the head.

But the series is probably gonna make him into a antagonist of sorts. I understand it from a TV POV thou.

Madison (Sophia) played a pretty good Zombie. I watched the Talking Dead last night and showed all the makeup and stuff she had to go through, she was quite the trooper. I hope Shane dies soon, and I dont want him to get shot, I want that bastard to get eaten alive by a group of Walkers, and SLOWLY!!

All I'm going to say is that I heard it's fucking awesome, and I plan on catching up during my Christmas break

That and a LOT of other shows I've been forced to miss due to school.
