All this recent talk has filled me with a new energy. Part of me wants to make a new attempt at a Sailor Moon Web site.

Even though certain people have made it clear that they would want me to die and want me to never write anything again, I feel like I want to stand against the wind and show them that I will survive, in spire of their efforts to shut me down. I want to persevere because my very survival depends on them not winning and shutting me down. Giving up is suicide.

On the other hand, I know it'll never be successful, because I simply don't have the "it" factor to get people to support me. I lack the charisma to lead people or to talent to trick people, so I'd be just writing for my own amusement. Besides, with Wikipedia, Wikimoon, and Wikia covering the information front, and all of the fan sites with established audiences covering the other fronts, no one would back me up. I'd have nothing new to offer the world.

So should I try anyway? Is it even worth the effort?

site making can be tricky.. i made on with pro-barods.. not may memebers and noone has posted in a while.. maybe you have better luck then i did.. With the manga back sites may get more memebers.

if you are up to it and have your heart set to it. then go ahead and make a site.

Honestly, people who do this usually have the best websites. Who cares about popularity? Just do what makes *you* happy. It doesn't need to impress anybody else.

The fact that you even pose these questions shows me that you DO have something to offer the world. That you aren't stuck up, that you aren't high on yourself, that you know you're human, and you're okay with that--that's more than most people have already. If that is your dream, you should follow it. Opinions are like booty-holes--everyone has them, and no one wants to see them or hear about them.

Thanks for the support...but I think I'm going to sit this one out. While I am very glad for the positive reinforcement, after thinking about it, there would really be no point in following through. It's not as if my thoughts on Sailor Moon are going to change the Internet, so it would be like writing on this board, except with less of a reward. A site without feedback is nothing.



The problem is then if I didn't gather any readers, my efforts would be just like my LiveJournal, which goes unnoticed until someone wants to use it to discredit me. Why should I bother editing code to reach the same result?

Besides, what makes me happy makes other people sad or angry. Thus, for the good of others, my happiness must be denied.

In an effort to be more positive, instead of whining about my inadequacies, I am going to do something positive. I have laid the barebones groundwork for a fan site with one purpose, to bring back Serena as Sailor Moon. With the help of other fans, I can change the tone of this community and bring forth a revolution.

I know this can be done, so I'm going to make it happen. If Sailor Moon Abridged can make a fan movie, I can lead the way in making sure Serena is known as Sailor Moon. I will not give up. Failure is not an option. I will not be stopped.

People said they are interested to see a new website, and they indeed were. In a very short time span you got way more visitors and feedback than your four page website deserved (no offense - I just mean that you didn't put much work into making or promoting it). Many other fans spend months and years of daily hard work to achieve what you got without any effort - and you are still unhappy?

So much for that positive thinking she promised.

Nobody has said they wish for you to die. Again quit trying to play the victim I honestly think you thrive on antagonizeing people and playing the victim afterwards when people call you out on your crap.

On your website I honestly don't care what you do.


Except as I have said the majority of fans prefer Usagi as Sailor Moon. There have been sites before this catering to the dub, much better ones then yours and none of them were successful in changing anything or anyone's minds.

People already have known about the dub and the name of Serena since the dub first came out. You are not helping anyone by having this website as most people already know about and probably have seen the dub. Plus since most fans prefer the original version and Usagi's original name you are just in a minority group wanting to enforce your preference over the whole fanbase even though by majority the whole fanbase disagrees with you and prefers the original names. So there is no revolution coming forth anymore then there ever was.

I'm confused about this myself. Because I for one have never wished death on any of the members. Not even SSG.

I think based on some of Nang's prior posts that the death threats came from another site, like LJ or something. I seem to recall her saying that. I'm sure if I'm wrong I'll be quickly corrected...

It's a moot point because no one here has ever wished death upon her. Bringing it up is a tactic to garner sympathy.
