The music for the "Official Visual Guide" OVA and Playdia game based on the "DBZ Gaiden" Famicom game composed by Keiju Ishikawa was awesome, specifically this.

Likewise, the actual 8-bit version of that same piece.

Just a few of my favorites. I know most of those are Mega Man related, oh well, those are the ones that come to mind. That last one is from 20 years ago... some nice 8 bit music from back in the day.

But I prefer the vocal tracks by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. My favorite of them all? Hell Frozen Rain from the Shattered Memories soundtrack.

I forgot about those. I had gotten the SH3 soundtrack with the game. One of my favorites ever. I like the end credits theme from Silent Hill 3 Hometown. The original theme from the first game (which, itself, totally deserves to be on this tread So here it is), remixed, with lyrics sung by Joe Romersa? Hell yes.

I also got the Dead Rising soundtrack which came with the ending theme of the game Justified.

Don't know what it has to do with killing Zombies thou....

I also enjoyed hearing the Zero Virus music in ROCKMAN X5.
It brings back a lot of memories, for sure. It's a dramatic song and works well with the situation.

Someone, somewhere, is going to hate me for mentioning this: Rockman NEO. I mean Perfection NEO. I mean... whatever the heck the creator calls it now.
The fangame never went beyond concept and testing stages due to drama and personal crap I don't feel like talking about, but the soundtrack was killer. Mostly Infected Mushroom and Texas Faggott songs. I love the script, I love the music, I love the characters. Too bad it never went anywhere...

OK so Whenever I think of video game music, I always think of Whiplash for DOS... it's pretty old and the music is pretty bad-ish, but I always found it catchy. :blush:

That reminds me of the Gemini Project, the supposed plan to create an official American Sailor Moon game. After awhile it bombed.

My favorite video game composer is, unsurprisingly, Nobuo Uematsu (since the majority of the games I've played are by Square). My favorite song is.. hmmm.... probably "Melodies of Life" from FFIX.
