Quite surprisingly, I find this game pretty awesome, albeit from the fact that I was unable to watch any episodes with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto in them. Good storyline (I'm currently at Yaga Village/Ruins) and I'm lovin it! Does anyone else play the games and hear the characters' voices, cuz I got Mars goin on haha.

Image

Also, the makers of this game looks like they also made Chrono Trigger, cuz the sprites look a lot alike... does anyone else know abt Trigger? Can you confirm this?

I think that game is pretty awesome too, I played it years ago... I really got into it both times that I beat it. After awhile though I started doing things like hacking the senshi stats in my Zsnes emulator, cause the second time through I got my 5 senshi I wanted to finish the game with to level 99 before the final battle. I never saw the second ending cause I never sucked enough to lose in the final boss fight haha. The first time it took me like 10-15 minutes or so but the second time with all my senshi 99 it took probably less than 5 minutes. One piece of advice I have, try and discover as many link techs as you can, they really help you later on.

I really love Another Story, I managed two copies of the original cartridge. Angel Studios was responsible for making Sailor Moon: Another Story and are now known as Rockstar San Diego. Kinda interesting considering that they made Red Dead Redemption.

I REALLY need to play this all the way through. I usually get stuck around the half way point and lose interest.

Chrono Trigger was made by Squaresoft. SMAS was made by Angel. It's unlikely that any of the staff worked on both.

This game is pretty fun, and I love RPGs, so I was thrilled to find out a Sailor Moon RPG existed. However, it is extremely unbalanced. Placing someone in a different spot in the battle formation will decide whether they do 70 damages or 7000 damages. There are also some characters that are just flat-out better than others, with better skills and MP usage. If you play another decent RPG and then this, you see how poorly designed Another Story was mechanically.

Well, I mean, I KNEW it was Squaresoft (Square Enix now; *heavy eyeroll*) but it just took me by surprise at how the sprites looked so similar is all. I dunno, they look too similar for me to not know maybe they had a mole in one of the companies or traded secrets (a la "We Are Marshall")

Yeah, I have this game too. It was pretty fun.

Saturn was like, Shadow in Sonic Chronicles OP, though.

The Outers group attack, too.

Nah, you just gotta be a G when you play the game. Cluster is the best formation to use, put your strongest/favorite senshi in the middle so they do the most damage. Arrow is an okay one, with the strong senshi at the "head" of the arrow. Victory is only good if you want one senshi to be a healer/buffer during the fight, as the back of the formation is HIGHLY defensive yet very weak in attack. Yeah I already figured out this stuff years ago, I experimented with the formations and link techs and what does what.

Am I the only one that finds the difficulty in this game very frustrating? I'm playing it on a cartridge and while playing through Mercury's arc I find she's such a high level that I kill all enemies in one hit, get very little exp per fight, but the boss battle just massacres me.

A while back I got to a further point and I found that while in the north pole area all fights were just taking so long that it was hard to make much progress.

I had that same problem, so I just made myself gather what little patience I had and make her level up.

This game takes patience... you have to fight a lot while you still have all 5 senshi in the beginning, then buy them good equipment so when you go through the single senshi parts you still kick butt. Then there's the part about patiently leveling up each senshi so she can take on the boss... I did it easily the second time around.

If you use Zsnes to play, you can make your own codes.

Yes, yes I do.
Just FYI, do NOT use the Holy Grail to turn Sailor Moon into Super Sailor Moon. It's pretty worthless.

If anyone uses Zsnes to play, I have a .cht file that I made that can be used. Not all the senshi are hacked though, but it's easy to do on your own. The yen is hacked to like 9999999 or something so you can just buy everything you need anyway.

I have always wanted to play this game, but never could. Whenever I would download it and start to play, it would just play that little introduction bit and then stop. So frustrating!

Would any of you beautiful people care to post a link to a functioning download of the game (in English, of course) + a download link to the emulator you use? Because I would really like to play this game already!!!

Thank you!

You have 2 options for the emulator. Either Zsnes or Snes9X

If you can't access it you might have to register.

Has anyone also tried that map editor?

All RPGs just take patience. You have to take your party and just make them level up like crazy. It really isn't hard. Time consuming, yes. Hard, no.

I really enjoyed the graphics and the music, I give the game a eight out of ten over all.

I should play this again some time. P-:

The game is good, though it has it's flaws, and the fan translation we have does leave much to be desired, I honestly have trouble following the plot due some of the odd grammar and such. Also. Nabu, second fight in the ice village. Oh god how I hate it. Me and a boss should both not run out of EP so we're wailing on eachother wiht normal attacks for 10 miniutes.

While I didn't find the game too difficult in terms of battles/strategy (nearly went insane fighting Nabu in Chapter 2, but had little problems beating the ultimate boss with Moon+"Inner Senshi" - though I did grind to level 45 for this), there are some plot points that I don't understand well. One of them being the subplot with Hotaru and Prof.Tomoe in Chapter 3 - I do realize that the game mixed manga and anime even in places where they're almost incompatible, but... what exactly happened there?

It's just like a Square Enix game. Level grind.
