Mugen and Stars are more guilty of this, but have Usagi scream less (Insert every Senshi) name, we get it and can see it, girls are in trouble, no need to repeat their names five times in a row, thank you very much :)
Remember this?
Usagi: Hotaru-chan
Ami: Thank you
Rei: Very much
Mako: For saving us
Mina: From Mistress 9

I think the movise might be 120 minnutes. So nothing needs to be cut
Or
Ami: Oh, I will give up my dream to protect the princess.
Rei: Oh, I will give up my dream to protect the princess.
Mako: Oh, I will give up my dream to protect the princess.
Mina: Oh, I will give up my dream to protect the princess.
Mamoru: Cough Cough

I'm just curious to see how Part 1 is gonna play out in film form because the way Ami, Rei and Makoto receive their power-ups is pretty repetitive (trap laid out by Amazon Trio, Guardian spirit appears, Crystal, transformation, flashback to one of the Outers, new weapon, new attack, etc.)... Which would be fine if it was a TV series, but as a film, I'm not sure how they can structure it with a clear climax without having the girls receive simultaneous power ups.

I remember you had a very well done script for part 1. Anyway, I am sure their stories will happenat the same time with cuts the way it is in the Labyrinth. But Minako will have to be separate.

But how their stories can happen at the same time? Because Mamoru's condition got worse chapter by chapter, and we were revealed about Elision after Makoto's chapter. Not to mention that Mars' chapter happened when they decided to investigate the circus...

They will probably change the imagery of Tiger's Eye death. He'll probably still be killed by Rei, with Mars Flame Sniper, but it probably won't appear like an arrow shot straight through his head. Maybe simply incinerated instead.

And he might be in his human form instead of tiger.

Ami will be at home, while Rei and Makoto will go investigate etc. Mamoru's worsening condition might be conveyed in some other way or rewritten as sudden spell or something. It would still be better than showing them separately and repeating the formula in a film. But on the side Chibi Usa and Helios development happent progressively through these chapters and time difenetly passes. So it will be hard. I hope they put effort with that now they decided with a film.

The big issue is that the first half of the manga is very much a monster-of-the-day scenario and it lacks an epic fight scene. That's not conducive for a movie... If they adapt the manga as is, we're back at the same issue of Crystal not understanding how different mediums work. Naoko didn't even write the Dead Moon arc with a movie in mind.

Also, things like developing Chibiusa and Helios' romance and Mamoru's illness can still happen throughout the movie.

The other alternative is that they have Fisheye and Tiger's Eye escape their initial conflict with Mercury and Mars, and return during Jupiter's fight against Hawk's Eye, with Mars and Mercury coming in for a 3 vs. 3.

And rob Jupiter of a solo fight. :( It would still be better, but somehow I hate how one of the girl's has to be robbed from her solo moment. They can always have all of them fight the trio, simultaniously as Minako is investigatimg the circus, which would prevent them going to help her and let the outers come in to save her. Even though I have seen some nice ideas, I really don't envy this writer... Having to work with something so obviously written for episodic format must be hell.

I don‘t know the manga well, but is there a fight where Sailor Moon is involved? I can‘t imagine a SM movie where Sailor Moon won‘t fight at the climax
The one against Tiger's eye at the begining. Honestly, though it would be coool if they leave Usagi away from fightig for once and give the girls their credit for part 1. It would be tiring seeing Usagi doing the same attack and kill everything like in Dark Kingdom arc. Hope they don't do the same as Beryl fight again. They can have each fight individually and come up with a big battle where everybody is involved.

I don't see that happen. I think something would be missing if she wasn't fighting in the final third.

Just something that passed my mind today. There were these nice little moments between each inner senshi and one of the outers in Dream Arc. Like Ami talking to Pluto, Rei to Michiru and Makoto to Haruka as flashbacks. I hope Crystal fix the manga plot hole with these - they couldn't have happened. Even if the manga is more open to interpretation, in Crystal Season 3 the girls didn't come to agreement and some sort of bond until the Mugen Academy battle, after which the outers vanished. I hope Eternal keeps these moments, but fix the plothole. Probably make them a dreams or something, it won't change the significance, but keeping them as flashbacks that never happened would be very lazy.

Yeah, I'd make it so Mercury kills Fish Eye, not just the Lemures before Moon and Chibi Moon kill Fish Eye.

how many times does Sailor Moon use her weapons in the Dream arc? She gets 2 power-up‘s and two different sticks, so I imagine she will have to use both at least once, and def. also attack/fight in the first movie.
Multiple times if I remember correctly. As it is a movie I think they will avoid using the same footage multiple time, so they will either make it the other guardians kill the enemy or they will have life-time attacks. Both would be cool. There is not a major battle during the first part, so they might keep the Trio alive for the end of it, or adapt as is. There will still be a cliffhanger if they follow the manga. As a two partee that won't have a year-long gap between the two parts, at least if they keep their word for both to be released next year, a huge battle won't be that necessary.

Now that I think about it, there is a good think about them changing the format. As it was established to get season with episode per chapter pacing, it is more exciting now that we don't know wgat to expect. It is similar to the art changing every season. It is at first glance jarring inconsistency, but it also keeps everything exciting and fresh and people don't know what to expect. The day they drop a trailer will be so exciting. Seeing the new designs in motion, sampling the new animation. Pribably even show some hints about the story direction. It might be just a 30 second trailer but it will mean a lot.
