Sailor Moon Cosmos announced for Summer 2023 [SPOILERS ALERT]

If toei did not scrap the Eternal outfits in the 90s aside from SM we might have new attacks for the Eternal upgrades of the Senshi.

These moments from the speeches look really well drawn, it’s kind of a shame they’ll have to be shared if that’s really the case - but I’m sure I’ll still like it anyway lol. A lot of the other shots out on display look really great also!

Love Tsuki no Hana, it is not a song I would imagine for Sailor Moon, but it is so catchy and sounds both modern and retro. It is unique for the franchise.

I’m pretty sure Keiko Iwata must’ve done the ReiNako scene, she’s one of the only staff that draws the fluid, detailed hair with the extra strands. I was really hoping she’d do that scene so I’m really pleased!

Using the time it took them to splice them all up, add Saturn, remove Serenity and alter the clothing for all them.. they could’ve just created a new group shot Oh Toei.

At least the pose of Neptune is a bit different. lol

The 2 group shots in Eternal weren't bad - in fact I really liked the Inners one - both composition and art wise.
Originally, it seems these 2 group shots were inspired by the last shots of the Senshi in the 200-ep ending however the way they mashed the 2 together... well it IS representative of this whole reboot!

At least, Michiru is a little better. In Eternal, she looked really weird with that voluminous hair... - they won't ever give her the so-deserved long but wavy (not curly) hair, huh?

I'm not bitter...at all.

Unfortunately our queen’s hair has been all over the place in Crystal. It finally seems to look nice in Cosmos though, at least sometimes.


I guess curly hair is difficult to animate as it tends to be heavier/react differently to physics. Probably why there aren’t that many curly haired queens in anime.

So i just find out that the animator that has been getting a lot of controversies lately for his comments on others people's work on the movie apparently leaked that cosmos will be released on netflix

I love the poses, so i’m not salty about the recycling. I just don’t get it why they kept Michiru’s long hair. Makes no sense lol

Michiru is supposed to have long, wavy hair with soft curves - as she's supposed to represent the embodiment of mature femininity and elegance, precisely why she is the only one who has her forehead prominently exposed - and not excessively curly hair (that's Makoto who's supposed to have this messy, unkempt hair).
I know Takeuchi said Michiru is supposed to have 'weed' hair but that's not at all how she's represented in the manga.

The other day, this Bollywood song came into my recommended and the female lead's hair is everything I envisioned Michiru's hair as - wavy, with several layers and just the right amount of volume.
Being sensual, feminine and elegant at the same time. (Did I ever mention Michiru is my favorite gal?)

Tsuki no Hana is definitely a bop in my opinion. If they change the instruments a to more traditional yet poppy sound, it would have been a great track for a Yosakoi performance.

If this is true.. why is he being so messy? His work on the henshin looks good, he could be invited back to other future SM projects or maybe work on other Toei franchises like Precure if he played his cards right. I’m m by no means a fan of Toei but this is messy, messy messy.

The more I listen to the Tsuki no Hana the more I love it - it gives me mid 2000s anime op vibes and I love that. I hope the rumors are true and we see Cosmos very very soon. I wish it was series so we could get animated sequence...
