It seems Mars and Venus are "enemies". It looks like the youma's target is a priestess (maybe Rei?). It looks like Usagi gets hurt..........Anyone have a complete translation? (Babelfish is bad.........)

I don't really think they are, after I saw the preview at the end of Act 16. In fact, I was more than happy -- gleeful, that's the word -- to see that at least one was worried about the other (Mars shouting out to Minako-chan).

And yes, Sailor Venus tenets many pairs of shoes. It won't top Imelda Marcos' collection, though. I just wonder whose pair of shoes that is on the bottom left of the picture, with the rounded toe. It reminded me of Ronald McDonald for some reason. I guess I'm just out of it today, hehe.

I love love. Usagi and Mamoru are my favorite couple because they share so many wonderful kisses and talks and protect each other. I love how their together in every season and are a couple in every season. So I wish Act 17 talked about the love triangle more. I really wonder what the girlfriend's secret is. It seems to be connected to the phone call in act 15.
in terms of production quality ALONE act 17 was miles above all the previous episodes -- even if nothing happens other than venus joining (which is a big freaking deal) you need to see this act for the better camera work and new music!
and, may i say, shibue jyoji just pulled the heartstrings in this one:

i'm kind of peeved about the act 18 preview though -- it's all, what? NO MENTION at all of what happens after usagi and mamoru bump into each other (except usagi talking about her womnly feelings while sitting on a pillow? that is NOT ENOUGH).
this mamoru/usagi tension really needs to end soon before i totally explode TT_____TT

I don't think so. Sailor Moon can be protecting the Princess - she did so in the manga. And, besides, notice that Venus still has her crown. It disappeared when Moon Princess was revealed.
And... Right now it gets more and more obvious that they won't finish the classic series in 26 episodes. 9 episodes to go and the whole Silver Millenium story, dark Endymion plot, Beryl battle, Endymion battle and Metaria battle... Either they will hurry through it like hell from ep.18 or they plan to make all 50 episodes the enhanced SM classic series.
Well, come to think of it - it would be weird if they did SM Dark Kingdom and SM Black Moon chapters only. Probably they either stop with Dark Kingdom or follow up to Stars - stopping with only part of the Outers cast revealed would be strange.

After having defended her for sometime, I have to admit, Venus is lookin' pretty bitchy. She's like manic depressive. I hope we get to see her open soon--she's still lookin' bitchy in that preview.
