Futari wa Precure is basically PQ Angels minus the cockroach theme, if Naoko chose to continue PQ Angels she could have had made it popular, although that might mean she has to remove the cockroach theme before publishing.

Takeuchi & Toei had an unresolvable quarrel over that roach motif (Takeuchi insisted it while Toei opposed it), so Toei conspired w/ Kodansha via Osabu, who was actually a mole planted by Toei in Kodansha, to instigate the Incident of Lost Manuscript, which proved to be a traumatic blow to Takeuchi & enabled Toei to start their own commercially successful & long running Precure franchise w/ Futari wa Precure. The rest is history.

FW Precure might be why Takeuchi stopped her activities as a mangaka in 2005 and pulled out Sailor Moon from circulation, she might be upset about Maxheart which has the Anko expy since Anko never materialized and surfaced in the story.
