Hey y'all
I was rewatching the three seasons along with the movies and this idea got in my mind and I really wanted to ask you all here.
What do you consider is Crystal/Eternal's peak? It can be an episode, an scene, even a promo art, song from the ost... I don't really wanna discuss about the three artsyle 'cause everyone has it's flaws and it can be a really sensitive topic :googly:... but if you wanna do it, go ahead but be respectful (please).

So, anyway, as I said, it can be mostly anything, like "this episode was so well directed and I think it's this show peak" for example. Basically let's talk about the positive things that made us "wow" for a moment and you are proud of.

For me (at least from season 1/2) was this:
From the artstyle on point, the really fluid animation, the in between shoots are really good, the hair movement, the soft shadows... this made me think what the first two season could have been if only they had a better production/time and it will be forever my fave speech sequence from the show (so I was hella mad when instead of retraced it like jupiter or mars, they did a whole new with a so stiff animation)

Damn, Japanese Venus is scary. I consider the peak S3's finale.

Sailor Saturn's first appearance blew me away. The music, the movement, the colors, it was all so incredible. I am not sure if it's my absolute favorite, but there was a lot of care put into that scene (far more than she got in Eternal).
These two and the stunning shots from 21 stand out to me. Man. That shot of NQS running out with her dress flowing in slomo... Gorgeous. Magical. The show has these little glimpses in each season of what it could've been if Toei had just spent the time, money, and given it to the right people.

I just rewat
ched all Crystal before watching eternal so my memory is still fresh. Sorry I choose several peaks ^^
I really liked the part where Usagi is with Diamond on Nemesis, the art was beautiful but also the whole ambiance was well done and contrasted with other episodes.

For S3, I really loved the last part of Tellu episode, it’s so nice when there is a good screenplay with nice animations and background.

If we talk about Eternal, peak would be Ami’s part with Fisheye, and after Mars henshin, animation and music were absolutely great. I also love the last part of the movie after Nehelenia is defeated. The Quartet appearance was very nicely done and some shots with Princesses are great. By the way I loved the Amazoness in all their scenes, they are funny and cute and they are far more enjoyable than in the 90’s anime.

mmm I'm not here for that kind of jokes, I stated on my original post this was NOT for hate things and we would talk about the positive things from the show.
If you wanna go and create a thread about errors and stuff, go ahead, but not on my thread.
I have read your original post carefully before making mine, and you probably should read it again, too. Particularly that part:
I don't really wanna discuss about the three artsyle 'cause everyone has it's flaws and it can be a really sensitive topic :googly:... but if you wanna do it, go ahead but be respectful (please).
I did exactly what you welcomed other members to do - I went ahead and posted a respectful reference to official Crystal art style. Which I consider to be a highlight of the entire series.

Another peak is the animation of Nehellenia in Eternal when she get‘s defeated by Queen Serenity and Eternal Sailor Moon. The only thing that would make it perfect would be bolder background colors. I really don‘t like the bright pastel color scheme of the reboot.
In general, Nehalenia's design was very satisfying for a psycho space tyrant.

I personally didn't like her design in Eternal. Kill me with stones, but that cute face didn't suit her. At least her dead was animated right. Anime in 90% of the cases cannot draw women anymore.

It's me or in the manga version, Nehellenia in the colored design sheet looks a lot different from the black and white manga? In black and white, she doesn't show her majestic and ellegant side (which was emphasized in Itoh's design), her face looks more twisted and creepier.

Technically this key visual was Crystal peak. Not only looks good, but it shows each ones personality and suggest the dynamic they never realized. Rei talks and plays with her fork, while Usagi aims at the cake on it. Ami is shocked, while reading, Makoto feels embarassed and looks at Minako, who is winking playfully making a shush sign to Makoto. It suggested potential of pretty visuals and plenty of character.
