While the anime might imply some stuff, I cannot seea hit inthe manga that Ami is bi. Some people Usagi is bi, but this western view on Asian female to female interactions. In this manga chapter Ami is talking about love in general, not romantic love. Her nightmare is that her father is not there, her mother having a lover and doesn't care about her and she feels Usagi doesn't need her because she cares about her family with Mamoru and Chibi.

If anything I think it would imply she is pan.

Back in my day we had a much simpler definition for that kind of women. Nowadays one needs Wikipedia to understand the difference between a woman eager to sleep with any random stranger without any discrimination, and a kitchen utensil.

While it's entirely possible the girls may experiment with their sexuality, I doubt Naoko would be so secretive about it instead of just showing it.

Ami may not be bi but we know she is secretly "naughty."
Takeuchi has already explicitly shown that Ami is secretly naughty in one of her artworks & her own notes on that artwork.

Honestly of the Inners Ami is probably the one I could see being bi the most in the anime and manga. None of the others though.
Not even Usagi, Manga!Minako, Rei or anime!Jupiter?

Manga!Usagi low key crushes on Haruka after she kisses her, even after finding out she’s female. Manga!Minako also blushes over Rei eating gracefully in their Exam Battle chapter, canoodles with her quite a few times and even gets heart eyes over Mimette like she does with her boy band crushes. (Manga Usagi likewise also gets heart eyes when she first spots Rei)

Manga!Rei... does it even need to be explained? Many people already headcanon her as an outright lesbian (Which I don’t believe is accurate because of Kaidou) and even in the 90’s anime there’s shipping hints between her and Usagi courtesy of Ikuhara.

90’s anime Mako is definitely canonically bi since she has a whole episode dealing with her crushing on Haruka (while knowing she’s a woman)

For me, the only Inners who are for sure straight are 90’s anime Minako and Manga!Jupiter. (Probably PGSM!Jupiter too)
