I have recently been watching a show called Survivors, it's plot being about the lives of a group of people who survived a virulent unknown strain of influenza which has wiped out most of the human species and I began to wonder what if this happened in Sailor Moon? (No Powers AU)
Now unlike most fanfics the events happen BEFORE the girls ended meeting each other (well most) so everybody traveling in their own separate groups before meeting up with each other at the end of the fic.
Rei is a loner unwilling to trust other people, hunts with a crossbow.
Makoto is with her Senpai and a few others who he did not break up with her due to the virus happening. (He quickly realized he wouldn't get far without Makoto, hell he's the leader of the group because of her but sadly he still doesn't love her and is just lying to her. `
)
Minako is the leader of her group of mostly men.
Ami is also the leader of her group which consists of three men and one girl and the girl is Usagi. Ami being the leader is non brainer, her high intelligence and medical knowledge have kept the group since day one. But Usagi isn't very useful at ALL and there's only one reason why the group keep her around at all.
Mamoru is traveling with... the Black Moon Clan. He's not the leader, that's still Demande and the two really do not like each other and Demande would love to get rid of him but he can't because Mamoru is their doctor and you do NOT get rid of someone with medical knowledge after the collapse of society has happened and most of the other doctors are dead.
The story would really be about "What are you willing to do to survive?"
