Honestly, the "half a year" could refer to anything, and possibly not related to the moon princess stuff at all. It would be very anti-climactic for this little forum if "half a year" referred to the release of some new flavor of Twizzlers Minako really wanted to eat.
But then again, that would be more Usagi-like.
I still like to think Minako believes herself to be the princess. I like to believe that everyone's memories are totally jumbled and mixed-n-matched, including the memories of the cats. Venus is the real leader of the four guardian senshi, not Moon. So as awakened Venus, she might inherently possess more character traits of the leader of the senshi, rather than princess-like traits. She rebukes Moon, Mars, etc. If she believes herself the princess, then the fact that she doesn't "act like one" can be interpreted as a subconscious hint at her real identity, rather than contrived subversiveness. The reawakening of memories was a slow process in the manga, with subsequent acts doing a blotchy job of filling in details here and there until they visit the moon.
The reason I like to believe this is because it makes it more fun if everyone is really surprised when Moon is awakened, including Venus herself. It would be less fun if Venus was all like, "Well yeah..I knew..but yeah .."
I just wished that PGSM would start throwing in more obvious hints that Moon is the princess, rather than the fact that the show is called by her name
. I mean to refer to the manga's alteration of her tiara as bits of memory come back. That could've happened, for example, when Zoisite mentions Endymion's name. It would've been cool if we had a shot of Moon half-fainting or getting a headache or something.
Venus also doesn't seem to be calling herself Serenity. This might hint at less than complete memories too. In the manga she introduces herself as Princess Serenity, and I think Moon has one of those aforementioned coming-of moments when that happens.
