Though it's not exactly modern (as it's from 1996), "Capture the Dream" by Stan Bush (the guy who performed "She's Got the Power" in the DiC dub) always calls to my mind the finale of the SuperS anime/the manga's Yume arc, and the journey Usagi underwent as a person to get to that point ever since she first became Sailor Moon back in the anime's first episode/the manga's first chapter.

A modern song that reminds of Sailor Moon is "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera. This song reminds of Usagi's growth and development as a character.

Backstreet's Back from the Backstreet Boys. It's a weird choice but I associate that song with Sailor Moon because it was huge right before SM came back on the air with the lost episodes in 1997. Me and my sister listened to that song on repeat on the day Rubeus Strikes Back aired.

I've mentioned before in other threads that in fact a number of pieces of music make me think of Sailor Moon; Téo & Téa, Touch to Remember, You've Changed Your Tune and so on. I'll put Hayling up again because having watched R with my sister reminded me of it. To me Hayling reminds me of the ending of R; Black Lady transforming back into Chibiusa, her revelations, the second Silver Crystal emerging and the finale.

There are 2 Evanescence songs that remind me SM, specifically the 2 final episodes of the Classic Anime Dark Kingdom's arc:
New way to bleed - it reminds me the inner senshi deaths and how Usagi realizes she isn't fighting alone at the end.
Never go back - it reminds me when SM fights against Endymion and Metallia Beryl.
I even made 2 AMV's (poorly edited ) using these songs and I watch them every time I finish watching these episodes. :ohmy:
