Who else is stunned by this legend of 70s J-Pop? Sure you average J-idol is quite pretty compared to the general populace but I'd never thought there's someone primarily focused on Japanese pop would manage to be on the same level as iconic models and cinema stars such as Etsuko Shiohimi and Meiko Kaji?
(YES I know that celebs like Etsuko also did music throughout their career but for sake of argument in this case I'm referring to ladies who primarily focused on music at the peak of their career a most oftens tarted as singers before doing TV and movie roles unlike Meiko Kaji and other A lists on Nihon TV and cinema. Yamaguchi certainly had done films but it wasn't the prime focus of her work).
More than that she blends in next door innocence cuteness with high refined beauty! Its just a shame her stuff isn't translated including film and TV because I'd go on a binge right now! Well a great reason to study Japanese until point of fluency!

(both her look & voice were way older than her actual age at the time). Her singing is prodigiously superb & easily recognizable.
