Well obviously. Just doing a bit of speculating.
Speculating on exact plot details is, IMNSHO, kind of pointless right now given that we barely have any details at all about the series.

The point isn't to guess correctly what's going to happen. It's just to have interesting conversations of what could happen, and what you would like to happen or not happen on the show.

At the moment I'm far more interested in significant plot details that have yet to be revealed. Tiny things like Motoki finding out senshi identities is incredibly far down the list...

Nothing wrong with speculating/talking about stuff that might be interesting to see in the new anime. There's still at least a month of nothing better to do.

I haven't read the manga, but my sister says Motoki and Mamoru didn't know each other or weren't friends in it? Something? That seems so strange to me, but I wonder if they would do something like that in Crystal, or if they'll stick with the now-established formula of having them be friends. I also wonder if Crown will be an arcade, or if it will be a karaoke center like in PGSM.

or perhaps what they meant by closer to the manga, were the senshi character designs, attacks and personalities.... :googly:

Oh yea, I'm kinda meh about Motoki knowing there identities but Naru finding out is interesting and I think it will happen at least for Sailor Moon. As a matter of fact I'm surprised no one did a thread about how Naru may fit in the new anime. Will she be youma fodder like in the original?

I do hope the plot is good though and not monster of the two weeks format, eh I'll still watch though for curiosity.

I wouldn't be surprised if Naru winds up "vanishing" as she had in the manga; her role in that medium wasn't as prominent as in the 90s' anime. Though, it'd be pretty interesting for her to discover Usagi and the other Senshi's secret identities.

I liked how PGSM handled Naru - yeah she was often youma fodder, but the show focused so much on friendships and, since Naru is supposed to be Usagi's "best friend," she played an important part of that. It seemed like in the old anime Usagi sort of moved on from her old friends to the senshi being her BFFs, but it was nice, even at the end of PGSM, to see that Naru was just important to her as the Senshi. I liked the subplot in Act 45 (or whatever episode it was, somewhere in there) where Naru learned about her powers and Usagi prioritized overcoming PSM in order to protect her. I don't know if there will be time for it, but it would be nice to see Crystal handle Usagi's friendships in a more balanced way like that.

She did know that Usagi was Sailor Moon - or else they eluded to it. There was one scene where Naru was like "I know that you have secrets that you can't tell me, but I understand". Or something along those lines ^_^' Paraphrasing :)

^ It's not objectively certain whether she really meant that, even tho one could read it that way, but it's still one's own interpretation. :)

While that is true one thing the manga had that the anime did not was that Naru appeared in Sailor Stars. She appeared in the last Chibiusa's Picture Diaries as a student at Juuban High School. You even got to see her little sister. Which is kind of interesting because Naru is an only child in the anime.

It was towards the end of the first arc. While the inners were still using the computer under the arcade... I think he talks to Makoto about it. Sorry I don't recall the exact chapter.

They were definitely friends. There's a portion of the manga - well, don't read this if you'd rather someday read the manga for yourself and not be spoiled, but -

Spoiler: show
brainwashed Mamoru comes back to manipulate/harass Usagi, and at one point brainwashes Motoki as well. So they're both creepy and evil.

I hope it's not a Karaoke center. That was really cute for PGSM and clever, and I loved the way they used it during the Ami+Rei mom/dad issues episodes, but... in the original SM, it wasn't just a pow-wow place, it was where they studied the enemy in detail. They didn't have anything like that in PGSM. Ami didn't even have her computer. So if they do Karaoke center, I hope they expand upon it so it's not just a place for them to plan and have fun. There is a chance that it'll still be an arcade, though... Aren't arcades still fairly popular in Japan?

arcade place are becoming rare and few apart.

Pachinco is far more prominent. And karaoke is everywhere.
It'd become an adult show if their secret base were located inside a pachinko parlor. XD

The brainwashing was him just targeting someone who knows Usagi. He knows that Usagi frequents the game center so he just targeted Motoki. Them being best friends was a lie after Mamoru erased the REAL Endou.
