The Eternal Sailor Moon brooch is also different. It is a translucent heart with a crescent moon.

TOEI/Bandai must have created a different brooch to sell it as a toy.
Considering how rushed Stars was, I can definitely imagine them creating a brooch design too late for it to be incorporated into the manga.

That said though, with the Stars arc on the heels of Uranus-mantis-arm and Mars Star Power, I like to think they showed Naoko the design to get her to incorporate it and she was just 'Nah :P' Woman must have been on the verge of collapse after working on the manga over the years, who wants to waste time on an overly intricate brooch design that the anime would dumb down in half the shots anyway (like it always did)?

I don’t know how the Stars arc was conceived. :? All I know is that TOEI told Naoko that it would be the last arc to be animated.

I never understood why the animators brought Nehelenia back, but I believe that TOEI did a fine job adapting the Stars arc.

Did she suggest women to overcome sexism through drawing strength from motherhood? I google translated it.
Nah, she says women have long been suppressed & their strength has simply been equalized w/ motherhood & kindness. :)

Not comparing Takeuchi to Salvador Dalí… that would be like comparing apples to oranges. Dalí created a really cool surrealist cover for VOGUE in 1944, though. And I happen to think that Usagi deserves her own VOGUE cover. :diana:

While it's not Takeuchi's work, I guess Mara would like to see Usagi-bot on a VOGUE cover.

So, let me know if I got that right.
Please correct me if I got that wrong.
I beg you, correct me because I want it to be wrong.

Her idea of feminism is... We have to pray our way out of patriarchy? We have to... Pray?

Man, her idea of feminism is steeped in class privilege, completely disconnected from reality, and borderline harmful.

She never says women have to pray their way out of patriarchy, she just expresses her belief that prayers can erase evil..a very naive concept in my opinion. But she never mentions patriarchy in the interview

She is pretty and did not age that much, same as Kotono. The magazine is supposed to be released with never seen before art, can’t wait to see.

The grand total of her outfit price is kinda outrageous though, even if it’s probably clothes that were lended to her I guess ? Well at least we know where our money is going

I'm certain Vogue provided the outfit for the photo shoot; I doubt those were clothes and accessories she already owned (though she could easily afford to buy them).

She says she believes women have some innate magical power that can be manifested through prayer, but she doesn't define what she means by magical power or by prayer. It definitely feels very woo-woo, but it's not really connected to any thoughts about feminism, let alone patriarchy.
