Again what's you cretin of good. The fact that matter of is.The manga was good enough to be sucessful. This does not mean the anime was not more popular. It was just that it was successful.
Ask any expert on comics and manga - or anyone whose repertoire is really impressive, who's really passionate and can have a critical view of the works they consume, any person like this - to name great manga titles, with great story or great art, hopefully both. They're likely to mention Berserk, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Rose of Versailles and maybe Cardcaptor Sakura, but I doubt many would mention Sailor Moon (unless we're talking about the titles they're most attached emotionally and/or about being iconic and important in a historical perspective, which isn't the same as praising the merits of the manga per se). Ask around out of the Sailor Moon fandom about great mangakas, and you'be probably be hard-pressed to find anyone mentioning Naoko Takeuchi. And as much as I love the 90s anime and think it's an iconic, import and enjoyable show, no, I wouldn't rate it as one of the best anime ever, let alone one of the best anime I've ever seen. I'm a fan, but I'm not delusional.
Saying that the manga is only reason the manga is a best seller is because of the anime .This is not base on evidence.I don't think that fair to say.Naoko was interview in Japan and was asked about the manga. Its not like toei was promoting the manga.
I never said it was the only reason, but it's certainly a big part of it.
If the only reason that the manga sold was because of the anime. It definitely would not sold 45 million copise.Got republished and people would not been collecting the whole set.
Again, not the only reason, but I do believe it's fair to say the anime is probably the most important of reason. The question is: how many bought the manga because of the anime, and how many bought the manga despite or without considering the anime? You lot need to stop taking numbers as it's some sort of testament to a work's quality. We've been living in Capitalism for a long time, marketeers have been around for decades, it's about time we realised numbers are rarely, if ever, organic (not influenced by marketing).
I think it would be more effective to draw the right leg over the left leg and the item in her right hand and facing the left in a different photo.
It's a bit weird, her left leg seems to be in front of her right leg, but her left foot seems to be behind her right foot... But anatomy has never been Naoko's strongest suit has it?
Looks cute. Wondering how Yuichiro would look in her style.
I'm bored with her churning out the same rehashed drawing time and time again, but being mored and anatomically questionable aside, this more "laid back" style is Naoko at her best. I certainly like it much more than her "serious" recent illustrations like the one on Vogue or the atrocious Jennie single artwork.
