Will I be helping support Sailor Moon Crystal on NicoNico more rather than Crystal though?? I want for it to be hugely successful is why. So not sure which site would be the better choice.

I'm thinking both sites will have their number's counted. I think they would be able to do the ones from North America via IP addresses.

I think it's important for the North American numbers to be true and evaluated because that's going to lead to more possible licensing of future product.

In terms of which is going to be "better"- we'll probably all end up in the same bucket anyway. Better to go with the service that's going to give you the best viewing experience. (which is totally a personal choice).

Why is it that all the comments only celebrating Sailor Moon makes me smile :D

Maybe it's conforting, for a while(many years now!) I was starting to feel that we were just a bunch of die hard fan, while the world was slowly but surely forgetting all about SM. -_-;

Happy to see so many are looking forward, a good success could mean more seasons :D (or anything new really, dark kingdom is nice and all but it would be the 4th remake? (manga, '95 anime, PGSM, Crystal).. hehe

Seriously? NND is a crappy site with a terrible player. Enjoy that.
I've never had problems with videos on Nico Video. I've gotten high quality 1280x720 in 60fps off there.

If you pay for premium, you automatically get the better streams.

Either place that streams it, there'd better be a subtitled option.

Your side bar says your in Long Island NY.

If it were ME, I would go with Crunchyroll. If you were in another country, even Canada, I may be more inclined to say Nico Nico.

Your mileage may vary.

Nah, I've got a Crunchyroll Premium account. I'm hopeful that the show won't be blocked somehow over here. I rather like Crunchyroll's quality on my TV. Haven't had any issues.

I am pretty sure that the new crystal won't be blocked in Canada on crunchyroll. My research show the viz/hulu problem has to do with hulu being unable to stream in Canada. Viz has all the North American rights hat include Canada.

If it's any help to anyone, the SMC announcement was also present on the Crunchyroll UK site & appears that it will be available on there too. It's £4.99 a month for a premium account.

My question for any CR users is, do they stream the new stuff on the Xbox 360 app too? Or is it just the browser site?

That would be unwilling to stream in Canada. The only reason hulu doesn't allow viewers outside the US is because that's what the companies who own the service are dictating.

I just hope that Crystal is not blacked out on Crunchyroll in Canada because of Viz having "exclusive" distribution rights in Canada that they so far have not exercised.

Too bad it won't be broadcast on regular television in the United Kingdom, because if it is and you live in London, the signal would come out of... wait for it... Crystal Palace. ;)

Actually I've been wondering if CR even got the Viz's sub rights, or if they will do their own subs....
They'll probably do their own like they did with Attack on Titan when they & FUNimation had their simulcasts at around the same time. There were some translation differences IIRC.

Example:

Best way to find out for Crystal is to compare the subs on Crunchyroll, Hulu & Nico Nico.
