Same here. BTW, the creator/producer of Nogizaka46, a godfather in the J-pop & J-idol industries, is from about the same generation of Takeuchi (he's older than her by nearly 10 years, tho), who I think considers herself as a godmother-like figure in the manga industry these days, so the two collaborating parties could be seen as pretty matching. lol

Was typical of the old musicals of the Bandai era to have "Kaiteban" (Revisiion) versions - new one in the Summer and a kaiteban in the winter.
I've only bought the 2018 blu-ray. Couldn't be bothered to buy the 2019 version.
Give us a new generation of musicals led by Akiko Kosaka and I'llbe happy.

I was on my tablet last night when I saw the news, and posting anything from there is always a nightmare for me, thus the very basic opening post. But yes, this is just a new production of the musical from 2018/2019, which will make it the musical with the most productions and the only one to be revived, not once, but twice!
I'm really hoping it won't be a replica production as that would be painfully boring. I hope we get new costume designs and a new stage design. I'd love for them to add Artemis, but ultimately I don't think that would really add much beyond fidelity to the manga. They definitely need to include Princess Serenity's dress and they need to make Queen Serenity an on-stage character AND GIVE HER A SONG. If they just reuse the same pre-recorded footage from 2018... They also should rework some of the music and make adjustments to some scenes so they work better (e.g. Beryl needs to kill the Four Generals in one fell swoop; killing them sequentially was interminable to sit through and silly in a bad way). They also need to fix the quick changes; there's no need for the tear-away clothes to be as bulky and obvious as they were in the 2018 and 2019 productions.
Also, can they FINALLY give us a cast recording? Hopefully they'll sub this production too and release it on DVD/BD with the 2019 show?

I'm not wild about the fabric choice, but otherwise I like the new, manga-faithful costumes. I'm not familiar with Nogi46 (apart from the previous musicals) so I have no idea how these casts will do, but I'm hoping they're all better vocalists than their predecessors. I'm not thrilled with the casting choice for Tuxedo Mask (I fear it'll be another Yuga Yamato situation) and Queen Serenity still being a pre-recorded screen character is extremely disappointing. I was hoping this production would make some changes to the show, but I suspect the only real difference will be the costumes...
Amen. The Nogizaka musicals stand out to me for having terrible singing.

No Queen Metallia and Artemis in the cast? The manga faithful costumes look nice, wish they gave Moon a manga accurate Moon Stick too though instead of using the old proplica of the 90's one. Also for her brooch they used Crystal's color palette, in the manga the star at the center is pink not golden
