The designs are all amazing, but Sailor Methuselah's is definitely my favorite. She looks so delicate and eerie, which perfectly captures her (somewhat tragic) backstory. I also feel like you managed to capture Naoko's quirks in a way a lot of fan artists don't. She looks like she could be a real Sailor Guardian from the Stars arc.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much!! I really love how her design turned out too. The goal was indeed to make her look delicate and eerie - I wanted the lace, pearls, and veil to suggest a woman much older than she appears. I definitely looked at a lot of pictures from the Materials Collection when making this, and the blue lace is modelled off the lace on Diana Fairy's costume. When designing her costume I remembered that in the manga, senshi from different star systems always seem to have unique uniforms, so naturally hers would be different from the senshi of our solar system.

Her fate is somewhat sad, and though she'd never admit it, she's envious of senshi who can be reborn without their memories intact and no one to tell them who they are. There are preset expectations of her each time she's reborn, and it's a lot to have to live up to, but she accepts it as her fate and tries not to be bitter about it.

Materials Collection -style sketch of Sailor Methuselah. This is a character I came up with ages ago, but the design is new. Methuselah is the unofficial name for the extrasolar planet PSR B1620-26 b. It orbits a pulsar star and a white dwarf star, and is around 12.7 billion years old. (the oldest planet known to date, and almost as old as the universe itself).

In my fancanon, Methuselah has a small population that is extremely long-lived (with the average lifespan in the millions of years). However, when someone on Methuselah dies, they are reincarnated (not always right away) and retain the memories of their past lives. These memories manifest themselves sometime around puberty, and when someone unlocks the memories of their past lives they have a coming of age ceremony where they invite people who were important to them in their past lives.

Sailor Methuselah is somewhat of an exception where if she dies, she is reincarnated almost immediately, and as the exact same person each time (no change in appearance or personality). If she always seems tired - it's because she is. Her soul has no time to rest between incarnations, and she doesn't have the freedom of not knowing who she is for a time after being reborn (since she's the same person each time, there's always someone to tell her who she is).

Her element is electromagnetism, which would make sense considering pulsar stars (like the one Methuselah orbits) are highly magnetized.

Uh, I like this drawing. I can also see the influence of Naoko’s aesthetic.

I've had this finished for a while but forgot to post it... it's Sailor Lilith in her school uniform.

I also wrote a bio for her:
Spoiler: show
Name: Ahmya Kamino ("black rain of God")
Birthday: December 31
Age: 14
Hair: Silver
Eyes: Lilac
Skin: Pale
Height: 4'11"
Blood Type: AB
Family: Lives with her maternal grandparents. Her father's whereabouts are
unknown, he left her mother when she was very little. Her mother died in an
accident when she was 8.
Favorite Color: Black
Favorite Food: Herbal tea with milk
Least Favorite Food: Mackerel, or any other extremely fishy-tasting food
Favorite Animals: Butterflies and moths, also likes cats
Favorite School Subject: Philosophy
Least Favorite School Subject: History
Hobbies: Writing poetry, amateur astronomy
Likes: Slow jazz, reading, meditation, fresh flowers, stargazing
Dislikes: Noisiness, overly crowded spaces, people who always seem to be
hyperactive

Personality: Quiet, reserved, contemplative, cool, collected, respectful. Not
the most social person - She's usually okay with being alone - But that's not
to say she doesn't enjoy interacting with friends, but in measured doses.
Prolonged social interaction can be tiring for her. Most of the time she's
perfectly content with just the company of her friends, not saying much but
still passively listening to the conversation. Sometimes she'll chime in with a
new angle to the conversation no one had thought of. She likes to think about
philosophy, sometimes getting lost in thought, and has a deep appreciation for
temporary beauty such as flowers and butterflies. She can seem a bit morose,
but she has very interesting and insightful takes on life and meaning once you
get to know her.

Element: Nothingness

Lilith Moon Power, Make Up: Her transformation sequence begins with her glowing
white against the blackness of space, but as the camera zooms up close to her
the sequence becomes a negative image. She clasps her hands together in what
looks like a silent prayer, and the camera pans down in a spiral around her and
her sailor fuku simultaneously appears. As the camera zooms out and she strikes
a pose, the colors suddenly revert back to normal (non-negative)

Void Revelation: Lilith spins around, and dozens of black butterflies come off
of her and fly towards the enemy. The butterflies seem to erase parts of the
enemy's body when they touch it, weakening it.

Aether Abyss: Lilith compresses what seems to be a black ball of nothingness
between her hands, and throws it toward the enemy. It expands into a large
hole, sucking the enemy towards it - and if they're weak enough - into it.

Wings: She has butterfly wings during her transformation sequence, but they
disappear after her fuku appears. They appear again during her attacks, but
disappear after attacking. If she concentrates her power hard enough when
fighting, she can make them stay and even fly short distances with them.

Gosh, this design is fantastic—all of your work is fantastic, but I absolutely love the detail here, and the description of her character. Wonderful, wonderful work!
Thank you!! Lilith is my favorite Sailor Moon OC (that I've made myself). She's actually a remake of a remake of a character I made who was loosely based on someone else's Sailor Lilith from the late 90's/early 2000's who was inspired by Rei Ayanami. :googly:

This is her design evolution:

I'm not sure yet how she fits into the Sailor Moon canon, but I'm leaning towards the Solar System being a much bigger place before the Silver Millennium (including hypothetical planets and moons like Lilith, Neith, counter-Earth, Planet X, Vulcan, Phaeton, etc) until something happened that "splintered" the Solar System into 2 separate realities, one that includes the planets we know of today and one that has only the aforementioned hypothetical planets.

This art is wonderful, it's great to see how much your style has blossomed! I love the idea of the splintered solar system as well, that sounds like a genuinely fascinating story. I've long been a huge fan of both Ayanami and the mythological figure of Lilith, so at least I'm true to form by liking your OC so much! :p

So her latest version no longer has a hand-held weapon? :)

Teaser for a custom doll project... I'm making ASMO's Sailor Charon! The glaive is made from a metal knitting needle, with plastic beads and metal loops for the decorations and craft foam for the blade. The whole thing is about 13" long, the perfect scale for the Obitsu body I'm using.

Oh yeah. It's all coming together.

All that's left is the head (hair and eyes). That's the one thing I can't do myself, at least not to my personal standards. I plan on sending a pre-rooted head to Setsunakou for painting and hair styling.

The fuku is made from an Irwin America Sailor Jupiter outfit. I bought a used doll in heavily-played with condition (missing shoes/gloves with really messy hair) and replaced the bows, removed the collar stripe, added sleeve trim, and made a new brooch.

If anyone wants the now-naked Sailor Jupiter doll, it's free with just the cost of shipping. The hair's pretty messy, though.
