So as we all know they call out the names of their respective castles as they do in the manga at the end of Eternal Part 2.

But like.. is it ever touched upon again? Like the Moon Palace does each Senshi rule their own planet? Are they also kingdom’s like on the Moon with their own citizens? How does that even work when Pluto is busy guarding the door of time, etc?

This is the kind of stuff that is completely useless and generic, just like the senshi x shitennou pairings. Suddenly they are all princesses, just to wear evening gowns, and they are supposed to have castles...for what purpose? I prefer to ignore that part. OR I don’t take the term “castle” literally but interpret it more as spaceship, starship, a vehicle for the sailor (!) senshi to navigate. At least that would make sense.

in the manga ( stars) the outers go there to supervise the solar system but get their star crystal taken as soon as they arrive there. They have like a big screen there and communication tools and i guess similar tools to the basement of the game hall

^ Yup. It's not a case of "suddenly everyone's a princess," but rather of catching the main series up to a detail that was already revealed years earlier in the Sailor V manga. It's annoying we don't get to see any of the other girls' castles or learn more about their kingdoms and what happened to the people they ruled, but alas.

Yes they’re each rulers of their own respective planets, did you read the Sailor V manga? It further touches on this.

As per the V manga the planet Venus had life and a human population and civilization, that’s where Kaitou Ace himself hails from. I see no reason why Venus would be the exception and all the other planets didn’t also have life.

A headcanon I just thought of about the reason there isn’t any life on these planets today other than Saturn’s reset is maybe because all the Inners and Outers were reborn on and now live on Earth, so without their Senshi’s presence a planet can’t sustain life on it’s own? Would explain why Earth is currently the only populated planet in our Solar System despite also going through the great “Saturn reset.”

Suddenly they are all princesses, just to wear evening gowns, and they are supposed to have castles...for what purpose?
What doesn’t make sense about this? It makes perfect sense that the Senshi of each planet would also be it’s defacto designated royalty, after all if Sailor Moon can be both the Senshi of the Moon plus it’s Princess why shouldn’t it apply to the others for their planets?

Because not only this was addressed way too late in the series as opposed to Usagi's status as a princess, but if they are all princesses of their respective planets why is it their duty to serve and protect Usagi? What's so special about the princess of a satellite that all the princesses of all the planets in the milky way have to sacrifice their lives for? Why are the princesses of more powerful and important celestial objects running after the princess of a lowly moon? It's absurd.

Like what I've said here long ago, the planetary princesses had been kinda held as hostages since their tender age & trained to be the Moon Princess' guards in order for the Moon Kingdom to control the whole Solar System - it was an important part of how the feudal political system worked. :)

Well, for just a Moment, try thinking GoT here; We all know there are 7 Kingdoms in Westeros but their respective Rulers are still supposed to kneel down before and subjugate themselves under the Leadership of the immature sadistic spoiled and pampered brat King Joffrey (Or later Cersei). As said, that's classical 'Dung Age' Feudalistic Politics (although possibly overexaggerated for Hollywood) in which some people declare themselves more equal than others. Just don't think too much about it if you're not living in a Culture that actually utilitizes that kind of Approach. ;)

Concerning their Homeworlds: With what we know about the Environmental Situations on the celestial bodies in Real Life... Are we meant to assume that, In-Universe, they all were originally rather Earthlike and when QS used the Silver Crystal she basically devastated the entire Solar System?

That's also similar to the feudalist system running for centuries, if not even millennia, in my country until just a couple of centuries B.C., when feudalism was finally abolished by the Qin Dynasty & the entire country was brought under a centralized bureaucratic govt. run by people selected by merits instead of aristocratic blood (except for the emperor, of course lol ), w/ the newly established provinces replacing those semi-independent feudal kingdoms & run by provincial govt. heads directly appointed by the central govt. BTW, the very 1st Qin emperor, who founded the dynasty, was himself a hostage kept in another feudal kingdom during his younger days. lol

What chapter of Sailor V reveals that she's a princess? The first one?

Sailor V is a curious case, because it started before Sailor Moon, but it ended after that.

That is basically the consequences of both QS and Sailor Saturn's actions, it was Saturn's actions that destroyed the rest of the Solar System.

Queen Serenity is the supreme ruler of their Solar System and the manga outright states that the Silver Crystal is the strongest Sailor Crystal in the universe so it'd make sense why all the Sol System Senshi revolve around the White Moon, think of like the way the Starlights revolve around & serve Princess Kakyuu back in their own Solar System.

While it is pretty and would have been interesting to see it elaborated on, I agree with the camp that believes the princess gowns and castles AND especially the mini Guardians are superfluous to the story and just feel tacked on. The mini Guardians are almost embarrassing to me as a fan and felt like a way just to shove chibi versions into the story. I say this while I've bought hundreds of dollars in chibi Sailor Moon merchandise this year alone).
Sailor V was not completely written before Sailor Moon, even if it takes place first, so that doesn't really count as saying it appeared first.
Naoko finished it after she was done and that's why we see things like the Eternal forms mentioned and why the pace of Sailor V's second half is so different from its first.

I think we kind of just have to accept that the world-building in the manga isn't very consistent. There's a lot of plot holes and things that just don't make sense when you really think about them. It really, really doesn't make sense for the most powerful senshi in existence to need a team of much weaker bodyguards, especially when they have their own planets to run.

One plot hole I've been thinking about recently is that with time travel, past and future selves aren't allowed to meet, which is mentioned at the end of the second arc and treated pretty seriously... which doesn't make any sense with how much time Chibi Chibi / Cosmos spent with Sailor Moon, considering she's supposed to be the future Sailor Moon and heavily implies that Usagi is her "past self."

By the way, I watched S1 again and totally forgot about Queen Serenity's form when they go on the Moon. She says her image was preserved with Main Eternity System. Doesn't it sound a little similar to mini Guardians ? There is like no explanation about them but are they really supposed to be fairies / spirits, or maybe something lik a digital picture produced by Senshi's Castles, same kind as Queen Serenity image ?

That would make sense. In the stars arc the Sailor Power Guardians appear again when the Outer Senshi visit their castles.

I really like that explanation. I'm not sure how Mercury and Jupiter's (and only theirs) appeared as they did, but I'd assume it was part of them being connected to their planets/castles.
I think I can accept them a lot easier thinking of them as some sort of projections.
I still wish we had an explanation for what they were, exactly.
