"Huhuhu!
I've got the BIGGEST BOOBS on this show!
I soooooooooo talented ~"
Well, her Daimon Mikuji looks comparable to her in that respect. lol Anyway, that Daimon is well-designed & is one of my favorite MOTDs.

I'm curious if that Daimon Mikuji was subconsciously influenced by Chun-li's design much like Giwaaku's design having that Aeon Flux vibe.
Chun-Li's design is based on the Chinese qipao, whereas Mikuji's is on traditional Japanese costumes (which originate from Chinese costumes of earlier historical periods, tho). Their head designs do somewhat look alike, tho. lol

:usagi:: If Mamo-chan saw such a score...
::tuxspeedmask:: Well, that's really bad!
:usagi:: Would be what he'd say for sure...

"Hahaha...Good day, isn't it, Sir?"

Well, at least he's a gentleman.

"What did that dream from yesterday mean?"

Fudo Myoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"It's no use... I can't sense anything!"

This animation!!!!!!!!!!

I watched this episode in French some days ago and I thought the acting was very good and natural, dialogues were nicely done too. You can tell that was written and played by people from another generation than nowadays, when there had a good sense of how dialogues work and conviction in their voices. Pleasantly surprised but all is going to be bad some episodes later unfortunately.

I didn't knew the French dub was bad and worse than the DIC dub but I enjoyed watching it at the same time DBZ was aired back in 1996. I get to watch this every thursday morning when I did not have class or was sick. Not knowing French gave me the impression it was a great dub. Getting to watch this earlier was a privilege though. We were stuck with the Makaiju arc for like 4 years. It took like forever but our local television network finally aired the 3rd season in 1999.

I went and rewatched it in French and yes, surprisingly, it's good, even great?!

You can feel all of the voice-actors much more comfortable and relaxed in their roles, even Ougouz is doing a good job.
The dialogues are also good and on point.
However, soon, they're all gonna get burnt-out from having to do 3 main characters per episode each :P

I kinda like that the Daimon Eggs are redubbed into 'Egg of Demonia' as if 'Demonia' was a person (even though we just saw that these eggs are bred invitro).
The chance that it could have been revealed that it was Mistress 9 who was giving birth to the eggs (or rather the nucleus that Tomoe uses) and she was inversely forcefully inseminating organisms is a terrifying thought (and I guess Ikuhara implemented a similar mentality with the Dream Mirrors).
Imagine Mistress 9's true form being revealed as this sort of obese, gigantic tentacular monster a la Ursula who constantly keeps laying eggs

I'm however not a fan of the moans, and Kaolinite-kun's hilarious "Gnehehehehe" when she appears at the Hikawa Shrine is so bad! :P

Running!

It's so weird that today, running looks so broken in anime...
Every new anime I see, it looks like the characters are running a marathon and look super awkward and the same doing it which, of course, removes any individuality and character acting in the animation.

Sorry, I don't want you to be stepping on me, ma'am!

"Your luck for today is the absolute worst!"
"Daimon Mikuji! There very might be a Talisman residing inside this lass. Take out her Pure Heart now!"

I said I'm not into you ma'am! You're too terrifying!

"It's only a matter of time before we see the fruits of our labors.
So let's continue on searching for other possible Talisman candidates."

She's HAWT! Feel free to step on me MA'AM! :zoid:

I need more scenes of Luna being abusive to Usagi

"What the heck?!!"
"I don't know but regardless, transform!"
"Right!"

"I won't let you bully my pure-hearted friend!"

"Hmh! It's that very Pure Heart of hers that we're hunting for!"

"They hunt for Pure Hearts?"

Yeah, the french dub is the typical bad and poorly done dub AB used to produce back then. I have only watched some bits of it......and...... no. :vanish: Sorry. I know nobody should judge a whole dub after only watching a few minutes, but those small parts I've seen are really really bad. Only the dub they made for the last season is quite decent, at least quality control-wise.
I imagine some people say it's good because it's french and french is cool in their minds. Like those who think the german dub is excellent because the voices of the girls have reverb in the transformation and attacks sequences. The rest of the dub is lifeless, especially from the second season on.

I watched the whole 5th season's dub and I loved it!
The adaptation and script are really well done so much that it's a pity they had to keep in line with the francisation of the names of the characters.
Michiru's attacks are PER-FEC-TION!

The vibrato in their voices :bow::bow:

The cast was pretty meh on the first movie but they really glued into their characters on this last season, it would have been great if Kaze had the budget to redo the whole series' dub (because it definitely needs it).
It's definitely much better than Crystermos' VF with the barbie voices of the first 2 seasons, the forgotten 3rd one and the various errors and bad English/Japanese in Etermos :P

Even Mikuji has pseudo Odangos!

:mako:: What the heck is that monster?!
:minako:: A Youma?!
:ami:: For now, let's transform and fight!

"You gals' luck for today is.... DOWNRIGHT BAD!!!!!"

"Now, how should I get rid of this eyesore of a nuisance?"

LOL!

"Who's there!!!"
"On this peaceful bright day of spring in full bloom, you wretched fiend who dares to cause a storm of disturbance, STAND DOWN!"

This episode has such a good storyboarding and animation. Andou really did a good job there, a bit like Chibiusa's appearance episode.
I really love when they use their items outside of stock footage sequences, like when they raise their wands trying to transform. It's a Sato episode btw, loving what he did there.

Oh yes the french dub quality is so low most of the time, that's why I noticed that S first episode quality was really nice considering the horror that was before and that would come after. I really like Usagi's voice in french though (the first one), she really nailed the role most of the time (minus the pre-episode sequences that they dubbed but mostly never aired, you can tell that she was discovering the script when reading it and didn't know how she was supposed to act in these short formats),
I never saw Stars in french, I will watch it when they release the BRD for this season.

Yeah. Mikuji's bad@ssery rivals the DD Girls. Nekonell's awesome too. =^_^= I'm hoping I can make a pixel art of Mikuji hopefully next year. I still got over 200 sprites to work with :minako: (that hair is needlessly overcomplicated) but at least I only have 40 sprites left for :hotaru:.

The Stars Kaze dub is a definite step up.
Nehenelia's voice is very in line with her JP version (which is quite the feat!), the Starlights are perfect, Michiru's 'Cerle de Glace' are symphony to my ears and Usagi's voice actress, while still not rivaling Pailly, delivers a much better job than in the S movie.
That final Group Henshin at the Hikawa Shrine is so good!
I think we have Rei's best French voice in there, the actress manages to tune in Tomizawa's catty and snaky spice to her delivery.
Minako's voice actress also does a considerable step-up.

The only bad casting there are I would say, are for Ami and Makoto.
Ami gets that overly sweet and soft voice that isn't her.... Her Crystal voice was better, Virginie Ougouz still remains her best voice.
And Makoto is just miscast. I really don't get why they keep giving her such a high pitched, girly voice be it on Kaze or Crystermos.
As for Haruka, the actress (who retains her role in Etermos) just doesn't get the character in my opinion.
It's not as disastrous as in the AB dub, but I don't know, her interpretation never stuck with me.
I also like Pluto's voice, I would have preferred she returned in Etermos considering they kept Kaze UraNep.

And of course! We have Virginie Ledieu on Galaxia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wished she gave the same sexy tune she had for Mermaid Thetis but it's always a pleasure to hear her on ANYTHING! ::love::::love::::love::

"Humans, huh? What pitiful creatures, they are!"

"Just... What is HAPPENING?!?!"

"BAD LUCK TURNED AGAINST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sexy Kamen!

"What a wasted trip..."
