Sailor Moon Art Director motifs

I can't help but feel that an animation director from Yugioh 5DS took some inspiration or ideas from 's henshin.

This is not typical of something you see in a shonen lead doing some air spinning with lace like lights.

Especially seeing as how the author took some inspiration from Umino and Peter Parker with Carly.

Could be just a coincidence but this one feels like it took inspiration from too.

I'm curious if 's SuperS Sailor Guardian awakening episode was an inspiration for Mai Otome's henshins.

It helped Chibiusa reach Hotaru's doorbell, Chibiusa used it to communicate with the others when she got stuck in another dimension and delivered the message from Neo Queen Serenity at the very end of S.

So, I watched the R movie again and it got me thinking about how they went all out with the special effects in the movies.

The CGI in the R movie was kinda gross though.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!

I'm kidding but honestly it was probably cutting edge for the time and shows how much they wanted to try out with a movie budget. and I don't think it looks that bad at least in 480p.
The SuperS movie also did it [I think] and it looks less jarring there [probably because a black hole is expected to look kinda odd]

And I don't think these use special effects, but I just like how they look:

I'm not a big fan of the type of animation style of the 2nd Usagi; it's very well animated and emotes a lot but it's 'it tries way too much and way too hard' for me...
It's so overdone that it looks artificial to me, in a Ghibli movie for a weird fantasy character it'd look totally convincing but not on Sailor Moon...
KyoAni's emotional/teary faces are unbeatable for me

To this day, I cringe at the hospital episode of Yu Yu Hakusho - it's so ridiculous and over the top

Igarashi could have reused the Super S movie scene in the end of Neherenia arc to upgrade everyone else to Eternal but no, that is not possible because of what Ikuhara did in the end of Super S.
