Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to let y'all know I've been working on a little side project. Using the files from Chibi Seiya and my own collection of Aiko VCDs, I layered the audio onto HD versions of the episodes from Sailor Stars. This also includes E191 and 192, which I own and was able to rip for the audio.

For Sailor Stars, the only HD video I was able to find had English subs burned in. If I can get equivalent quality versions without subs, I'll probably reconstruct with those too. The nice thing is that the English subs matched up well for most of the series, though there are a few slight differences in meaning. But overall it's pretty faithful. Also, the editing of the Aiko version originally had some background music mistakes, which I tried to fix where I could. I couldn't fix the funny issue with E193 where it's supposed to be "Nagereboshi he" on the radio, but the Aiko version played "Otome no Policy" instead, haha. Basically, I couldn't fix any BGM errors where there was dialogue in it.

Also, the Aiko version changed the order of the current episode preview and next episode previews. Aiko's typically did the intro song > the current episode preview (or none) > the episode > the next episode preview > the end credits. The original Japanese broadcast did the current episode preview > the intro song > the episode > the end credits > the next episode preview. I rearranged the Aiko audio to follow the original Japanese version. Some episodes, however, lacked a dubbed preview section, so one or two episodes are missing that segment since there's no dubbed audio to go with it.

Sailor Stars (Cantonese, Aiko Version, Eng Sub)

I also did the same for Sailor Moon S The Movie based on the old Edko Animation dub. This folder has three versions: The Cantonese dub with English subs burned in from Ginga-subs, the Cantonese dub without subs, and the original VCD rip, which is really low quality, but has Chinese subtitles burned in.

Sailor Moon S The Movie (Cantonese, Edko Version)

Feel free to enjoy and share.

I'll see if I can work on the first season based on what MyriadDestiny provided. The other seasons are harder to locate. I was able to find the TVB dubbed versions on that Chinese forum, but it's going to be a difficult process.
Does the S movie have the same cast as the TVB version? Moon's voice sounds a lot like the TVB one.

Finished Sailor Moon Season 1! You can find the TVB Cantonese HD dub here with both english and non-subbed versions. Enjoy!

Sailor Moon (Cantonese, TVB Version)

Notes: TVB cut the pre-title card sequences, including the preview, the intro where Usagi talks about herself and the other sensho, and the next episode trailer. The series didn't start using the title card until Episode 16, with the voice actress for Usagi announcing the dub's own title for the episode. There was no way to restore these without audio, which is a bummer, especially when the intro section was replaced with actual episode content later in the series, but I was able to restore the title card and audio and add some titles in Chinese, even though it's voiceless. The show also edited out things like scenes featuring Japanese text or things they wanted to censor, probably for television standards. I've tried to restore most of them where possible. Fortunately, the dub stopped cutting out Japanese text after a while, which made the editing easier later on. Whenever a song was featured, it usually meant sound effects were left out completely, but I added those back in. Again, the English subs are from the Japanese versions, but match up fairly well (though minor details are different). I just made them for my own enjoyment and because they worked pretty accurately to the Cantonese.
I signed up just to say thanks @kinotonberry

Thank you so much. I hope you can do the same for the first season and the SuperS season.

I can't believe we still haven't found the S season of Aiko dub. I have been looking for that season for a LOONG time.

Aaahhhh.. I haven't visited in a while. I didn't know the thread was still going. LOL I have since completed my VCD Cantonese collection for Sailor Stars season. I have a few SuperS season Cantonese VCDs. And all of Season R, and a few Season 1. Let me know if you guys want me to upload 'em.
Question: Do you know if any of the insert songs were replaced in Sailor Moon R?

I'd guess Stars is your favorite season, considering the name of your Sailor Moon site & your current avatar here? :D Uploading those VCDs can have an extra benefit of backing them up, in case the discs degenerate physically - I've lost Horie Mitsuko's (Galaxia's VA) 30th anniversary CDs because of that back then. :(

So nostalgic! Take care of them well~~~ :mameshiba:
Hahaha I need to take better care of them. Right as a I saw your post. I was looking around the book shelf just now, and found that 3 of them fell behind the shelf. I actually have 3 more VCDs.

So for SuperS season, Vol. 1 and Vol. 4 to 15. That is 13 VCDs and 26 episodes.

Awww... Yeah... Sailor Stars season is my favorite. Closely followed by Season 3. I am pretty stoked for Sailor Moon Cosmos, since its supposed to be a "season 5." I always felt the original Season 5 in the 90's was way too short. Plus, I love the Three Lights. Wish we got to see more of them.

Hi!! You have all of Season R in AIKO animation? Please, please upload them!! I have been looking everywhere for those. I used to watch Season R in cantonese when I was in Elementary school and lost all the VHS tapes when I moved. I would love to watch it again with those voices.

Happy 30th Sailor Moon Anniversary!

Sailor Moon R - Makai Tree Arc is now available in HD in the TVB Cantonese dub, in both English subbed and non-subbed. Currently working through Season 1 and the rest of Season 2. The folder for the rest of the season will be used for the second part of the season,I just thought it'd be nice to release this while I have it.

Sailor Moon R - Makai Tree Arc (Cantonese, TVB Version)

Notes: The TVB version did some editing, mostly cutting the transformations short (probably for censorship) and, in one episode, cutting An being caught in the middle of traffic. I restored these as best as I could. It seems to be a common thing across the other TVB dubs. The intros were also inconsistent, with some episodes having them and others not.

Hi folks! I took a break, but I'm back at it. I fixed an error in Episode 8 of the TVB dub of Sailor Moon R and uploaded some additional episodes, up through the resolution with the Ayakashi Sisters. I'm still churning them out, so hopefully I will have Sailor Moon R (TVB) finished soon.

Enjoy!
