The scene where Ami is coming and going out of the foreground is really fluid. Wonder if it’s the scene where Haruka and Michiru are riding on the bike. The fact that even small insignificant scenes have work put into them is really nice to see. The fact that they’re teasing all this new footage this time around unlike the breadcrumbs we got for Eternal makes me feel they’re actually kind of proud of the product this time, which is a good sign
The speeches look great! They look more mature while still keeping the Tadano design which is all I could ask for, really. Kind of a bummer we are getting the same henshins but I at least hope they add a few some frames for Jupiters attack/henshin!

Cannot wait for Mars and Venus next. Love these gag faces, love the speeches, too bad the transformations seem to be the same, but in the end of the day the stock footage is the least important part - more time put on the actual new material.

This shot is so old-school via it's shading, crisp analog-like lineart and black ink accents and I'm livin' for it! 
Unfortunately, now we've been fully confirmed the henshins and attacks are reused from Eternal (I'm praying that they don't go the SMC3 route for Part 2) and it's gonna be quite jarring the clash between the 2 art styles lol.
But since it seems these speeches are from the concert hall attack, then hopes about Jupiter and Mercury having a stand-off on the roof are kinda diminished now...
I hope they DO get a last spotlight moment and I'm starting to think the trailers are just like Eternal's, giving us a false narrative.
But let's wait and see.

The scenes with the planets in the background is probably Usagi thinking about them while the Three Lights are explaining to he what Star Seeds actually are right? It also appears be also a nod to 90's Stars.(after the Inners die and she learns that Mamoru too is dead she thinks about them and they have their planets in the background)

I know I need to not compare precure to sailor moon as they really are quite different.
But, my biggest gripe in SMC have been the transformations. Lol I know they are not the more important thing to the story, and the general animation inconsistency has always been at the forefront but I do expect the stick footage to look nice, it’s always been a staple of sailor moon.
And while the transformations sadly look retraced,
I did notice some new little effects like rose petals in Jupiter’s and some more ice textures in mercurys, so here’s hoping they added a few new frames and a slightly better filter and the since the speeches look great im hoping the whole transformation will finally look alright.

Really nice animation, I’m glad they re-did the introduction speeches because they seemed way to young on the eternal movies. If I remember correctly henshin and intro speech were done at a early stage so it explains why the design wasn’t totally fixed in Eternal.
Eternal uniforms really look nice there which is a surprise because I never really liked them after the OG series. But they work nicely there since they all seem taller and more mature. Can’t wait to see Venus and Mars !

I really doubted it but I hope the transformation phrases “xxx Crystal Power, make up” will also be changed... I never understood why they always used the same ones when they had a new “Eternal” rank...
I think Takeuchi was at the last arc so lazy that she just didn’t want to update them for the few times most of the sailors were appearing… still think it’s ridiculous…
do we know also which one will used Sailor Moon ? Because in the last 2 manga redditions she used in the first chapter “moon eternal make up” and after “silver moon Crystal power, make up”

I think they will fix those frames but I don't wanna jump on the boat and sail to the "It will all be corrected" island. I think it would be incredibly tacky to update the speeches and leave the same jumpy frames in the transformations for Eternal.
I think they will add new things as they did redo Venus in Eternal some, and while it looks awkward still with jumpy frames, it certainly wasn't the mess it was in Crystal Season III.
Once again, I don't know how hard it is but they should have left the transformations as they were choreographed in S1-S2 and just made them in the current style because nothing was wrong with them.
I'll be honest, while I don't exactly expect them to fix all things, I'll be very irritated if we get certain things like Jupiter Oak Evolution, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus ending transformation sequences fixed.

The introduction speeches look PHENOMENAL! Admittedly, I’m a bit disappointed that the attacks and transformations are a retrace - I was holding out hope that they would go the Ami’s First Love route and update for the final transformation. However, since they really don’t have that much screen time, it’s not too big of a let down.
