A Sailor V anime would be cool, but they'd need to go all out on the retro vibes, what with it being full of the early 90s fashion sensibilites in all the celebraty characters, and the comedy in nearly all of Sailor V's fight scenes. Tadano's designs might even work best for it, I think it could be really cool, even if not actually possible.

There's also always the manga short stories left do adapt. I'd love to see something like Casablanca Memory in anime form, they could come up as OVAs, and I feel that, maybe 'cause they were written without the pressures of being adapted into anime arcs, Naoko takes a looser approach to them, which means they actually feel narratively tighter than the main series. Makoto's short story is pure comedy gold and pretty much shows that the manga could be funny when it wanted to, for example.

La Reconquista is a good example that the Dark Kingdom arc can be adapted into films.
But La Reconquista skipped all the intros, when it starts Usagi and the others have already awakened as senshi and know each other, which kinda fits more into an episode format.

About Sailor V... as a fan I'd like to see it, yes, but if they adapt the manga closely... in my opinion her prequel adventures are a bit plain, mostly comedy... I don't know if it would be a good show to watch. I think Sailor V manga lost too much weight and meaning when Naoko started working full time on Sailor Moon. At least that's my opinion.

A new series focused on Chibimoon? I hope not, never liked her. I mean, I understand her importance in Dead Moon arc / Sailor Moon R and in the future of Sailor Moon as a character, but I don't think she was so much needed in later arcs, sometimes it feels like some stories were written or added just to have something for her (like her scenes with Helios in manga), and I hate Super S and her role on it. Again, just my opinion. Anyway, if they were to make a sequel about her, I would watch it and hope for the best.

Yeah my bad I should have been more specific with my post ^_^'

I don’t think they should readapt the first few chapters if they decided to do two films for the Dark Kingdom arc. Frankly they’re pointless since we’ve already been reintroduced to the characters (and Crystal handled those episodes really well, so it’s not like that part needs to be retconned). I think the story would be better starting off media res.

I just feel like if the actual Cosmos films end up being as well received as the trailers, and it (hopefully) is financially successful, it would be the ultimate redemptive act to do a better Dark Kingdom adaptation.

They should even have to do much, who doesn't even know who Sailor Moon is these days? I've ran across a few people, mainly dudes (who watch all kinds of shounen) who have never heard of Sailor Moon....yes, I thought they were weird for talking about Dragon Ball Z but have never heard of Sailor Moon, but for the most part, everyone knows who Sailor Moon is and the Inners. We shouldn't have to spend 45 minutes trying to discover them.

The movie doesn't have to be based in the present either, it can be before the Moon Kingdom fell. You could even throw in scenes of the Outers observing in distress as the Moon Kingdom falls.

You can have an intro that mentions the lore of Sailor Senshi and how they are born then immediately proceed into the story of Queen Beryl as a human before she turns evil and decides to take siege of the Moon..etc.

I personally think they should move forward though. I've seen Dark Kingdom 30,000 times and know the story and what happened.

Though it's not a popular opinion, I'd like to move forward with creative liberties with Sailor Chibi Moon as Neo Sailor Moon and Usagi as Ruler.

Manga Sailor Chibi Moon is not weak or incapable of holding her own. I'd like the story to go forth when she is a teen, like when her and Usagi switched bodies from the 90's SuperS episode.

As far as I know, Sailor Senshi don't grow out of their roles so..the Inners can still be there alongside Neo Queen Serenity. Helios is obviously going to be a love interest though another male could be in the mix as well.

Hotaru can be there as well. They fight well together and I wanted to see more than what Eternal gave us of them.

They could always do an AU storyline where the Moon Kingdom doesn't fall and Queen Serenity et al are able to successfully defeat Queen Metalia. We could still get Princess Serenity becoming Sailor Moon, and delve more into the Coronis and Mau stuff that Stars/Cosmos introduces, the Sailor Power Guardians, etc. Include Moon Fairy Diana as a bonus. I think that could be a really fun twist on the DK arc that would be more movie-format-friendly, work as a logical follow-up to Cosmos, and be just different enough to intrigue fans.

So I’m guessing they’ll be uploading short character videos to TikTok every Tuesday until June. So I’m guessing we shall get Mars and Venus with their speeches pretty soon. Wonder if they’ll continue with two of each Senshi until the movies released?

Ugh, seeing all these beautiful frames I can’t wait to see Sailor Cosmos. I wish she could get a henshin.

But then you've got fans who reckon the story can't stretch any further than Usagi's wedding - how tragic!. :|
Maybe their own lives didn't stretch past marriage.:wow:

I think the story can continue, they can of course to a time skip, alternate senshi, go to the past life or even add a new threat independent of Chaos.
I personally think the 90s anime did a better job with the enemies being unconnected. The more I think of all enemies being like some hive mind the more I hate it...even the manga doesn't state this 100% but it's pretty much implied they are all just "Gimme that Silver Crystal" throughout eternity. BORING!
Meanwhile, in anime-land the motives of the enemies stretch beyond focusing on Usagi alone. In fact, many couldn't care less about her until she starts interfering.

They may also consider working on a new bad antagonist. Galaxia WAS the strongest known Sailor Senshi. We can have Sailor Astronemis..
We could also get a movie or short special about a traveling alien/witch that hunts Sailor Senshi and turns them into wax figurine collectables to create some kind of museum for its exhibits. I got this idea from an episode of Shin Cutey Honey I saw a long time ago(one of my favorites) about a crazy jewel princess steal and turning women into glass statues, and also how the Sailor Moon franchise likes to keep with the Figuarts.

Heck you could even have a movie set in the future where Sailor Moon, the Inners, and Outers (aside from Saturn) are collected as wax figurines and Sailor Chibi Moon, Saturn, and the Asteroid Senshi have to go rescue them.

I mean the movies don't always have to be tied into he series heavily. They can be OVAs. While I don't think we need a full Sailor V season, we could get maybe an OVA or something. I doubt that will happen though.

They can also introduce Sailor Senshi like a Sailor Sun, Sailor Dimension, even with a little Saint Seiya nod with Sailor Pegasus, Sailor Aphrodite, Sailor Orion.... etc. (all from different galaxies), they can have Sailor Senshi of different racial backgrounds, Sailor Senshi that don't look completely human (Sailor Stars kinda did this with the Phages but that's not what I'm talking about as a character really...I don't want Sailor Amuse doing anything....Sailor Gamer might get a pass though.)

They can also travel to other worlds, especially if it's something like an Another Story type season and each Senshi has to go on a mission to specific planet or cover different areas of that planet.

They can incorporate PGSM and give them weapons (Aqua Sword, Thunder Staff, Venus and Mars Daggers) they use in attacks (not forgetting Mars already has a bow and arrow.

Just fun things.

I know I'm probably the only one here thinking like that but I found that excepted maybe some anime adaptation of the manga side-stories (and eventually a redone of Kakuya Story) and V prequel manga the story of Sailor Moon is complete as it is with a beginning and an end with the final big bad being Chaos (a bit like in Buffy with THE FIRST), for me it's the initial and final evil I don't see the point of telling anything else. I think it's great that we have a real ending and that we leave it at that.

They just gotta leave the Moon Royal Family behind. Usagi's story has already been told multiple times. The SM universe is so huge with so many concepts unexplored and so many interesting characters (Usagi never was interesting to begin with) that I think continuing to tell Usagi's adventures is a waste of time and resources.

Naoko and Toei should create a gaiden and build a new franchise around it. They should tell new stories with Sailor Lethe and Mnemosyne for instance, explore all the Sailor greek letters in the universe and their individual stories, show all those unknown planets mentioned in the manga, those new galactic races, new villains - yes, new villains, because the appeal of the villains is not their origin (Chaos) but their personalities and motivations -, the development of the concepts of Dao philosophy Takeuchi didn't dare touch and would give more depth to the SM universe, etc. That would be a Mahou Shoujo-Star Wars-like franchise for little girls. And who knows... if they're sexy enough (Sailor Senshis are sexy and have to remain like that) boys and adults could be interested as well.
