I want Sailor Moon Cosmos to have at least one moment that is as emotional and intense as Super Sailor Moon entering Pharaoh 90 in the 90s anime. I want to feel deeply touched.
I used to love it, now I think it's just a melodramatic scene with beautiful soundtrack and coreography. In the end, it's just Usagi transforming and entering a black hole.

I've always felt Sailor Moon throwing herself into the Cauldron in the manga was a pretty emotional moment. It's a moment where she has decided continue to fighting although she knew the fights won't really end.

I've really hope this moment is good adapted in Cosmos.

If the little moment with everyone lending their powers to Sailor Moon as how it appears on the trailer is added to that moment, it might even be more emotional than in the manga.

Also, just to spread some positivity, I've seen again the little Mars and Venus trailer and I didn't remember Mars looking this gorgeous, even in the Eternal and 90s anime concept art. She didn't ever particularly call my attention for it, but WOW.

Yeah, Venus looks good too, btw. Just couldn't find an image of Mars by herself lol

I wonder
Mamoru has blue eyes too. What race is he then? Rei has purple hair, but does it make her less Japanese?
I've always wondered about Rei's hair color. In the 90's it's jet black but sometimes with a purple sheen. In Crystal S1 & 2 its more reflective of her manga hair color which I like. In Season III it looks like a lighter shade of black, almost dark grey or something. I didn't like her hair color in that version. Her hair color is all over the place but I think it's one of the prettiest alongside Neptune's.

I think Cosmos so far looks to be doing a great job with the colors overall as things look very vibrant.

I believe this is going to be emotional for several reasons.

1.) This is the final arc and maybe the last time we see anything new for Sailor Moon in a while.

2.) Senshi deaths - I really want to see something impactful with the Senshi deaths to set the tone. I want to see Makoto and Ami turn to ashes after their "StarSeeds" are taken in a way that makes it seem like they will never return or something akin to their existence being erased completely.

What I don't want is a transformation, a speech, and then they attack which is immediately blocked and they are zapped. I don't want that 1, 2, 3, (SuperS reference) sequence going on. I want a fair struggle. I think having them transform and do speech's in a split screen is a smarter way to conserve time. They should have considered them doing transformations and speeches in the same frame as well for something new but I understand that might be expensive...perhaps.

3.) Usagi struggling in the 90's - The similar style to the 90's anime and the fact that Usagi struggles while losing ally after ally might rekindle memories of those similar 90's sorrowful moments. Sailor Moon's voice actress always does a good job so I'm sure there will be a good delivery.

4.) The Wedding - I feel that this scene will be very popular. Idk why though but I have a feeling of this is done correctly it is going to be like being at the real wedding of a very close friend. That should make people emotional.

5.) Princess Fireball's fate - If they leave it intact, such a beautiful character dying so violently and abruptly will be impactful. I suspect though, they will cut away and show the silhouette of the death. Similar to the R movie when Mamoru is accidentally struck by Fiore.

6.) Galaxia's fate: Evil but on so loved. The strongest of the strong...You hate to love her but do and the fact that she is going after and easily killing characters you already love is tugging some emotional strings. Her final end is not like the 90's.

Honorable mentions: the reason why I consider these honorable mentions or this honorable mention is because I want to have my cake and eat it too and I can't do that. Regarding Tin Nyanko's Yes. I like the idea that galaxia kills her but I prefer it similar to the '90s version where she has a change of heart. To me. That makes it a bit more impactful that she actually isn't as conniving or evil and it's kind of being forced against her will. And she looks to sailor Moon for help and healing or as a warning and galaxy just immediately turns her into ashes.

The same for Sailor Lead crow...her 90's death was something else... I'm not for sure in the 90's of she came back or not being that she was sucked into a Black hole.

so, what are you betting for this tuesday's mini-trailer?

Uranus and Neptune? Starlights? Chibimoon? I really hope we get to see Uranus and Neptune, but I am afraid we'll get Starlights lol

I'm betting on Uranus & Neptune, followed by Pluto & Saturn, then Chibi Moon by herself or with Tuxedo Mask (if its not with Chibi Moon, I dont think he's getting one at all as I dont see him having one by himself) and then perhaps one Starlight each week, then maybe Princess Kakyuu and Chibi Chibi Moon and then end off on Sailor Galaxia the week of the first release?

Me personally though, they could do the Starlights all in one and dedicate a few to showing off the animamates, maybe 2 or 3 of them at a time...the main ones atleast.

It'll be interesting to see what order they do them in!

There's no way Tuxedo can have a trailer with Chibimoon in this series. I think Chibimoon and her asteroid comrades will have a whole trailer though. Mamoru may appear in the last trailer, with Usagi, and a little glimpse of the wedding dress.

I would love if the asteroid senshi could have a trailer but I low key think Toei would want to save that reveal for the film even though besides newbies or ppl who haven't read the Manga, we all know they make an appearance in the final arc, lol

Hopefully we will get a glimpse of Uranus and her new attack. Though I realized when skimming through the manga earlier that the moment Uranus debuts the attack Aluminium Siren just brushes it off as if it was nothing. A little anti climactic, lol.

Also, I forgot, do the Outers have transformations in the manga? I wonder if everyone will get a new speech.. To be honest it just takes up previous run-time I’d rather them devote to something else but it wouldn’t feel very uniform if the Inners were the only ones to get updated speeches.

Another one of those pointless placebo upgrades. :loltext:

At least with 90s their brand new spells worked a few times until the Starlights stole the show. :booze:
