I wonder
Mamoru has blue eyes too. What race is he then? Rei has purple hair, but does it make her less Japanese?
I've always wondered about Rei's hair color. In the 90's it's jet black but sometimes with a purple sheen. In Crystal S1 & 2 its more reflective of her manga hair color which I like. In Season III it looks like a lighter shade of black, almost dark grey or something. I didn't like her hair color in that version. Her hair color is all over the place but I think it's one of the prettiest alongside Neptune's.
I think Cosmos so far looks to be doing a great job with the colors overall as things look very vibrant.
I want Sailor Moon Cosmos to have at least one moment that is as emotional and intense as Super Sailor Moon entering Pharaoh 90 in the 90s anime. I want to feel deeply touched.
I believe this is going to be emotional for several reasons.
1.) This is the final arc and maybe the last time we see anything new for Sailor Moon in a while.
2.) Senshi deaths - I really want to see something impactful with the Senshi deaths to set the tone. I want to see Makoto and Ami turn to ashes after their "StarSeeds" are taken in a way that makes it seem like they will never return or something akin to their existence being erased completely.
What I don't want is a transformation, a speech, and then they attack which is immediately blocked and they are zapped. I don't want that 1, 2, 3, (SuperS reference) sequence going on. I want a fair struggle. I think having them transform and do speech's in a split screen is a smarter way to conserve time. They should have considered them doing transformations and speeches in the same frame as well for something new but I understand that might be expensive...perhaps.
3.) Usagi struggling in the 90's - The similar style to the 90's anime and the fact that Usagi struggles while losing ally after ally might rekindle memories of those similar 90's sorrowful moments. Sailor Moon's voice actress always does a good job so I'm sure there will be a good delivery.
4.) The Wedding - I feel that this scene will be very popular. Idk why though but I have a feeling of this is done correctly it is going to be like being at the real wedding of a very close friend. That should make people emotional.
5.) Princess Fireball's fate - If they leave it intact, such a beautiful character dying so violently and abruptly will be impactful. I suspect though, they will cut away and show the silhouette of the death. Similar to the R movie when Mamoru is accidentally struck by Fiore.
6.) Galaxia's fate: Evil but on so loved. The strongest of the strong...You hate to love her but do and the fact that she is going after and easily killing characters you already love is tugging some emotional strings. Her final end is not like the 90's.
Honorable mentions: the reason why I consider these honorable mentions or this honorable mention is because I want to have my cake and eat it too and I can't do that. Regarding Tin Nyanko's Yes. I like the idea that galaxia kills her but I prefer it similar to the '90s version where she has a change of heart. To me. That makes it a bit more impactful that she actually isn't as conniving or evil and it's kind of being forced against her will. And she looks to sailor Moon for help and healing or as a warning and galaxy just immediately turns her into ashes.
The same for Sailor Lead crow...her 90's death was something else... I'm not for sure in the 90's of she came back or not being that she was sucked into a Black hole.
