Honestly I am starting to think that there is no Netflix deal. Eitther we will get the movies in cinemas or another platform(Disney+, Crunchy etc...)got the rights. Or maybe Netflix still got them but Toei asked for a theatrical release first
Eternal movies deal was released to press after their theatrical run in Japan so, we still have some time

It could be Viz who liscense the movies this time.
Why would Toei do so?
Viz has no global reach like Netflix, and a deal with them for English-speaking countries only would be MUCH less profitable. I would consider that a possibility if the movies flopped on Netflix, but that wasn't the case.

There is nothing by now. There are 2 scenarios: They are very silent with these movies since with Eternal there were lots of leaks from voice actors ( from different countries )
I think this is most likely.
NDA contracts for localization were already a HUGE thing in 2020.
They were supposed to stay silent from the very beginning and it's quite a miracle some actors didn't get replaced.

Ok this looks really nice. Chibimoon‘s henshin gives me 100% 90s aesthetic = good! and the frame composition with her and ESM at Galaxia’s garden looks really beautiful. If you compare the backgrounds with the battlefields of the showdowns of S1/2 these are muuuuch better. Chibiusa always looks best since S3, whila Usagi gets the short end of the stick.

Are my eyes totally fooling me or Usagi has a few frames near the end in which she looks beautiful for once? It has been so long.

I wonder if the reason we get 2 movies each "season" is because the arcs are contractually obligated to be fully covered, without major changes?
I mean, this budget would probably make a much nicer single movie even though what we've being teased is apparently a lot better than Eternal.
I wonder if that was their original intent after they gave up on Crystal as a series? One single movie for each season? Because this may explain a lot of issues we see, animation-wise.

I think they still need to release ( compared to what they did with Eternal ).

- Poster for Part 2.
- Final trailer for Part 2. ( After Part 1 is released in Japan ).
- Tsuki no Hana music video like they did with Moon Chainon with scenes from both movies. This will be super spoiler since it will include lots of scenes from both movies. They released the Moon Chainon one just one week after the First Eternal movie premiered in Japan.
Something is most likely going to leak by the middle of the month.

Chibi looks great, though I agree that I wish she looked just a little bit older. She grew up a considerable amount over the course of the manga but hasn't really changed in the anime since S3 (and that's just because she had a weird gangly toddler-like appearance in S2, lol.)

I guess it makes sense for her to have her own henshin as the new Moon senshi and all that. Looks good. I am disappointed that it seems like the Inners and Outers in particular fell by the wayside on this, but eh, if you go into Crysternamos with high hopes you'll definitely be disappointed, so it's pretty predictable/fine at this point :P

I'm surprised by how much disappointed I am by this - I guess since in the 90s anime, Chibi-Usa doesn't mature up much, I was hoping to actually get something for once from this reboot (especially since in the manga, she appears older and canonically she's supposed to be over 900 years, her physical growth would show her acquired maturity as both a person and a Senshi).

Did she really have to be stuck as a 'Chibi' till the very end? (Cause that's it guys, there's no more - not until another reboot in 10 years).
Could they be unbothered to ask Tadano an additional settei for her or were they out of budget?
I'm still hoping there's a special sequence somewhere in there where she's drawn correctly but oh well...

They really couldn't have drawn her like during the Double Moon Heartache? Really? :circles:
She looked so badass with Moon!
She's supposed to be at the very least the same height as her Quartet!

One WELL MADE movie with a proper budget would have been interesting choice from the beginning. Of course they would have to find creative solutions for the screenplay, which would be the key to get rid of the episodic structure and repetitiveness of the manga. They would have to omit parts and flesh out others.

We have the 90s anime
We have the 1:1 animated manga

A new anime project needs to be fresh and original, even if based on the manga/90s anime. PGSM is the best example.

I’d rather have 1 movie of 120min with great quality instead of a mediocre series.

As a manga fan I really wanted a series though. I mean I have wanted a proper manga adaptation for such a long time and suffered through the animation errors of s1-2 and the ugliest chara design ever created in Season 3 for that for them to decide and suddenly drop the ball and go suddenyl ythe original route for the last two arcs. Have you seen recent PreCure seasons? Do you know the brain dead status of modern original Toei? This is the manga fans one shot of seeing all the characters and stuff from the manga animated, it won't happen again. I'd rather not have 4 minute long high budget stock footage than having most animamates cut because toei wanna do it original now.

I know. I wish we’d get an interview with Osabu where the interviewer asks him: Now that the Crystal reboot ended, can you share with us plans for future Sailor Moon animes?

I hope they don't have any.
This reboot was tiring for fans and the timing for new story arcs is gone. If they plan on another Dark Kingdom adaptation someday, they would do better investing on a new high-end fashion collab because they alienated fans interested in new animated content.
