yeah true. I’m use to 90’s anime with breasts barely visible and where her “vagina” (sorry don’t how how I can name otherwise) was not really perceptible.

I had the same thought too. This kinda makes me more hopeful they will keep the bed scene lol. Also I can see them keeping naked Usagi in the last moments against Chaos, except for a butt shot they can easily censor it is not nearly as long as or revealing like the nudity in ep 200
By the way I like it, it is not amazing but at least they tried something different and I appreciate it. I really liked the Crystal mixed 90's musics though and I wish they gave the composer this direction si ce the start.

The nudity of the 200 is very limited. For 10 minutes she is naked, in front of the warriors, in front of the Starlights, in front of the other humans, and in front of her boyfriend when they haven't yet taken the sexual leap...

It's very funny how controversial it's become in the later years. I've seen Japanese Twitter users mention "was this okay to air??" and it's been heavily censored in other countries even recently. It was definitely the animator's "last hurrah" since it was the finale. I also think it was to prepare the public for a new Cutie Honey series lol.

I don't have any issues with that. People who have issues with that it's because they see it from a sexual point of view when it's totally the opposite: We come in this world naked and our natural form is with no clothes on so... it's the point they meant to use: Usagi is alone, with no weapons ( Galaxia destroyed both the wand and the sword ), no material stuff over her. Her most pure form and her only way left to fight.
Also: she was naked before several years ago in the same show. In the 2nd R opening you can see her totally naked ( with boobs + ass ), same with the S one, the SuperS opening, etc... How was people surprised to see her naked in the ep 200? xD

I think it's cute and the music isn't that bad at all to me. The Sailor Chorus doesn't sound extremely irritating and I like how they keep it simple and cute and not 15 minutes of spiraling and feathers. My favorite parts is when she leans back and let the ribbons wrap her torso.
It's not spectacular but it works and doesn't look bad at all. It gets to the point so we can get to the action. The drawings are not as elegant as the 90's but that's fine. Imma be real honest...I'm tired and I just want it all done with.

As someone else mentioned when she finishes, I noticed that her breast size jumped up real quick. So much talent, so little time.
It's not spectacular but it works and doesn't look bad at all. It gets to the point so we can get to the action. The drawings are not as elegant as the 90's but that's fine. Imma be real honest...I'm tired and I just want it all done with.

Probably because it was never for such an extended period of time. Usagi is nude for a good portion of the second half of the episode.
And while I think the nudity in Sailor Moon is usually done in a tasteful way, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some sort of alternative motive for certain series. I do think episode 200 was a classic example of "hey it's the last episode let's do whatever we want!"

Ami was pretty much naked for a while as well. If you really think about it. The S series, many of the Daimon were quite sexual, especially the Mimete ones. I remember when Kaolinite first appeared and the way her breast are trying to escape her dress are no joke.
I didn't really find the nudity in episode 200 to be too much. At the time I was shocked but you know...where I'm from they have a "nudity" is bad kind of thing. It's funny how excessive violence is accepted quicker than nudity is in most places too.

It’s really nice to know that we’ll be treated to different sequences for Sailor Moon’s transformation considering how much Kon loved repeating stock footage.. sometimes within the same scene.
Also I really love the transformation bgm. It’s a nice homage to the ‘90s anime while still keeping in the composer’s style.
