I've been thinking.... with all this homages to the 90's show in these last two films, do you think they could do something similar to what Nelke Myu did for Le Mouvement Final where Chibi Chibi/Cosmos could be the 90's Usagi from that alternative distant future? :googly: It wouldn't be weird at this point.

That would be way too cool and meta for an adaptation like this, surely.

Maybe the haunted Crystal ghost Usagi can also visit from a bad future with Sailor Muhrs asking 90’s Usagi to save her from hell.

They should produce a self-mocking parody anime comedy wholly featuring deformed Sailor Moon characters - I even think it could really work & become a popular show. :D

I've seen Le Mouvement Final, but it wasn't mentioned Sailor Cosmos is from an alternative distant future.

In Le Mouvement Final, it's explained Sailor Cosmos is a reincarnation of Sailor Moon (and there are some hints that she is several reincarnations after Usagi). Sailor Cosmos also mentions to Chibiusa that she comes from a more distant future than Crystal Tokyo.

It's never implied or mentioned that Sailor Moon Cosmos is from an alternative future.

.
...I wish they would go with this in Cosmos too. Storywise it makes much more sense for Cosmos to be an Usagi's reincarnation than her future self

I know that. I meant that Toei could add a little twist like Nelke Myu did. Sorry if my rushed wording confused your reading. ^_^'

I don’t get the issues people have with the transformation, I enjoy it a lot.

Every choice is curated and thoughtful.
I understand it not being to some peoples taste, but to say it’s bad is bizarre and dismissive of the work put into it.
This animator has a very unique stylised approach to animation and i welcome changing things up.

Also the whole “over sexualisation” of usagi in the henshin is far reaching at best.
Since when did our culture get so prudish?

The only part I don't really like about the transformation is the moment their boots appear only last like a second and you can't really see them if you don't pause it... It doesn't make any sense. I don't know if it's speed up but why do you make a scene for the boots to appear and then the viewer can't watch them cause it's full of wings who hide them? xD

So, apparently one of the animators whose portfolio includes Tiger and Bunny 2, Ranking of Kings, etc did some of the animation for Cosmos. Specifically an ‘action scene’ included in the trailer. Wonder if he’s referring to the Galaxia/Usagi confrontation?
they animated that scene. This sketch looks so much like those moments.

Since we allowed whiny, useless little tyrants on the internet to dictate what we can say we like/dislike.

I can't see anything sexual in Usagi's henshin. It's a semi-naked sparkly human female body without any detail, same as it has been for the past 30 years. (I do think most people are being tongue in cheek pointing things out with this one.)
