Sailor Moon Cosmos announced for Summer 2023 [SPOILERS ALERT]

Inners Henshin will be a boring cop-out seeing as it’s the same old retraced footage- so I can totally see it happening

Soemthing that I’m wondering. Mercury and Jupiter get new speeches that they’ve showcased several times but we haven’t yet seen anything for Mars and Venus? Why? Are their speeches somehow tied into the Reinako scene?

We have seen the Reinako speech in a split shot but we don't know if it's a full-on solo (like logically Jupiter and Mercury would be) or are somehow mixed like for example Mercury & Mars during one of the earlier Classic episodes (I highly doubt it though).

It seems the speeches are all from the concert hall attack which ends with the group pose so it's weird they aren't showing it unless they have worked especially well on them and they have some new choreography.

It's also not out of the realm of possibility that the full speeches are actually duos - Mercury/Jupiter & Mars/Venus but during the concert hall attack, they give out only their name - like for the part of Mercury that we've seen and Moon finishes it.
Then, during the Seiren/Crow attacks, the full speeches that end in a dual pose are shown.

It could also be something very dumb such as from screening returns, those henshin shots of Mars/Venus were very appreciated and they keep re-pumping them to attract the very crowd that liked them

It's basically the premise of each arc.

Actually they don't have much to show. Both films are gonna be: Introduction of a new character - transformation feast - the new character kills a couple of Senshis - killing the new character and right again from the beginning until we get to the Sailor Cosmos long useless speech.

Honestly, they should have just released an actual trailer for the 1st movie with the Shadow Galactica clan.
I mean the trailers don't really explain much to the viewer other than the usual - a threat has emerged - and focuses entirely on Galaxia's obsession with Sailor Moon.
I guess for people who know Stars, they're super excited but if you don't know anything; the trailers don't give you much to chew on except there's this Golden woman who is attacking everyone and laughing maniacally.

We've had 3 trailers for the Starlights so I don't know anything is possible.

Inners & Animamates duo?

Who knows?

Lol, "some Golden woman" made me giggle. I can imagine someone who knows nothing about the season catching the trailer...

"Who is that Gold B**** ? Wait, she looks really OP.....and her hair is long and flowing in the wind as she destroys everything...Yasss Queen!!!

I think they didn't show any animation and who'll voice the animamates for three reasons:

1) They're trying to keep some things still a secret until release, something that didn't happen for Crystal and certainly didn't in Eternal.

Oh: and also, a few of them will only show up in the second half of the story, so any scene with them talking would reveal spoilers.

Well they already spoiled the Amazon Quartet appearing in scene so... I dont think showing the animamates is more of a shocking spoiler than that xD

I really like the Kakyuu dozing off shot - it looks very retro & shoujo while being in the spirit of the art in the manga panels. This old school style shading with the black shadow underneath the chin makes me wonder if it's from Yoshiyama
Mamoru looks like a character from a Clamp anime!

The pair of screenshots with Mamoru and Galaxia x Moon look great. But it also shows that adding digital filters and 3d particles to 2D animation make the characters look flat like paper, and I don‘t like that effect.

I need Cosmos part 2 now!!! Also Chibi Chibi looks adorable, I am sure she(and hopefully Cosmos too) will be always pretty and on model like Eternal Chibiusa . Also I am still hoping Eternal Sailor Moon gets her wings destroyed, not only her uniform looks way better without them but them getting destroyed shows that the Revived Senshi were able to seriously hurt her. Maybe they added the wings in the scenes where she is supposed not to have them in that trailer to avoid spoilers?

The lineart is really crisp and good!
Recently, there seems to be a lot of anime that are going this route with this analog-style looking lineart.
With some dynamic contrast, the details on the lines will pop out even more

But, I'm sorry Mamo's not doing for me - it's the unbuttoned black shirt collar that's making him hot, isn't it?

I've been really loving everything about Cosmos thus far but I really hate how they've handled this shot. Maybe it'll look better in motion but I'm not digging Galaxia's exaggerated expression. The original expression was so confident yet still slightly deranged. Cosmos!Galaxia looks like she's doing her best Ren Hoek impression. I guess I was expecting different lighting or a subtle tone in the shot as well.

The reduction of Taiki's IMAX forehead from the 90's is worthy of praise all on its own. They did that noggin right this adaptation.
