I’m not really a fan of Tadano’s Rei re-design. It absolutely annoys my OCD tendencies that she has a random flick of hair on the side of her hair as part of her character design. When has that ever been a thing?

I’d say they always usually do a great job with Ami and Chibi-Usa.
Yeah, I think that part of her hair is very annoying too.

LOL.

I just realized.. what if the Starlights tap is to replace the ‘clicking’ of the 90’s? :P While I do love the new transformation the SFX sounds like someone falling down the stairs.

I was able to see his original post on Instagram. Same illustration, except the text on it included "Anime Netflix" on it. His post description didn't mention any details about it though so I feel it's probably an honest mistake or slip-up rather than a leak. He deleted his post maybe 5 or 10 minutes after and posted the current illustration, minus that text.
Sidney Deng's message on that illustration read "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos, Netflix Anime Broadcast!! June 9, First Part. June 30, Final Part", so it made it sound as if those were the broadcast dates, something that would be nearly impossible. The fact that he immediately deleted the post is suspicious... I think it makes sense Netflix would distribute the movies but he messed up not only by mentioning as if it had already been announced to everyone, but also by writing those dates down.

Put me in the tap dance lovin' camp, I like those Starlight transformation a lot. I know they're different from the normal style of transformations that even Kakyuu got, but I feel like that's the point, Kakyuu represents Kinmoku (Kinmoku Star Power) while the Starlights embody more abstract concepts, so I think it fits that their transformations wouuld be different. The music is good as well, not 90s anime good but that's to be expected.

I wouldn‘t interpret too much into the transformations. it‘s quite likely that they were given to different animators and each of them got total artistic freedom. Why would Kakyuu share the same henshin with Moon and Chibimoon? There‘s no logic explanation.

I’m wondering if perhaps, next week, we might get a ‘final’ Galaxia/Animamates centric trailer.. instead of the usual short. Or perhaps both. It’d make sense for them to give the movie one last big push before it hits the cinema, I think. I’m sure we will also get a trailer for the second movie after the release of Part 1.

Just, for anyone not familiar with the manga/Stars just going on the trailers released so far it doesn’t really give you a very good idea of what the story is going to be about.

Also, surely they’ll release a different poster for part 2 or else it’s gonna be confusing as hell..

how long does a studio own a franchise? because this looks like @ss like everything from crystal onwards
Wow, I have forgotten how bland and basic S1/2 looked (except for the half of act 25). Cosmos is such u step up in many ways.

You see such bad art and animation all over - seriously the one note-worthy scene is that dead-pan Usagi head shot and then bam! you see the Pluto scene with great art and animation with so much depth in the line-art and shading.

Crystale's conclusion:

I agree, I still think despite all the material that has been released, we didn’t get a trailer that would pass as story trailer, right? So far people who are not familiar with the manga/anime must think this is a battle between 1,000,000,000 good senshi vs. Galaxia
