it looks so bland compared to the previous seasons and the manga. sometimes it can look really good but most of the time it looks boring
I was talking about the first 10 minutes which had some incredibly flat shots - the whole school sequence looked extremely amateur-ish and off model. The characters looked way worse than most of Eternal in this sequence. Ofc as we know this reboot has like 60 artstlyes going on at once it won't apply to the whole movie.

Agree, it´s even harder too believe this is the directot´s first movie, he seems to get the material and the action is much better paced. I feel satisfaction each time an animamate is wiped, an action even if short is much better choreographed.

I actually like it so far. I think it's cute well minus Mamoru dying abruptly..lol..however, I'm not as strict when it come to the art/animation (though the part where the shots of the cemetery and everything at Galaxia cathedral looks kinda bad).

No subtitles so if you need the words to go along and haven't read the manga then...might have an issue with the video. I'll edit this with Part II once it finishes rendering. I split them cause of the size being 4 gigs. Hopefully it works right.

I agree the direction is better than Eternal, same for backgrounds, but the actual animation and inconsistency in character models is on the exact same level...
Yes, it looked really good - it is on my top 3 with act 21 and 25. As for Cosmos, I am on 35 minutes and I start seeing what you guys are talking about. This scene with Usagi calling Mamoru had very cool composition despite being mostly stills. The storyboarding is great in this sequence. Also the use of color. As for the sound track - it is MAJOR improvement for sure.
Having only caught the last 20 minutes or so, I'm... underwhelmed. It's all the same problems: weird, lethargic pacing, bad sound design, average-looking animation... There was such a lack of urgency and energy in what I saw. And the end credits were so lazy. Instead of just doing a slideshow of random screenshots, they could have drawn new still images to show us what happened between the end of the movie and the post-credits scene: shown us the girls graduating high school, pursuing their dreams, the Starlights and Kakyuu and all the other extrasolar characters back on their restored homeworlds, supporting characters like Naru and Umino and Motoki and Reika having their happily ever afters, etc. The time management throughout Crysternos has been so incompetent.
