She got the supervisor credit with Eternal and it started happening.
In Cosmos not only is she credited as Supervisor but her company is too.....which means either she's that crazy or Osabu is hiding himself because his real name is missing from both films.

As for Naoko I hate when people are blaming everything on her, but when it comes to this... It just has to be her... She got the supervisor credit with Eternal and it started happening.

Even if she were really oblivious to all that, she'd still be responsible for it, simply due to that title/position she holds - you can't deny your responsibility for the mistakes of your subordinates by saying that you know nothing about it because, if really so, you're responsible for precisely that.

Absolutely. Is her idea? We don't know............... but PNP is part of the supervision and production of it, so in one way or another Naoko Takeuchi aka Naoko Hime-sama DID AGREE with such 'choices' in the dubs.

I wonder if all this "control-freakness" on dubbing and subtitling stems from the "Haruka and Michiru being cousins" debacle in the 90s... But then, I don't think we have any idea if other aspects of the localisations aside from names, honorifics and attacks are being so strictly controlled as well.

Actually, Portugal had permission from Toei/PNP to censor Season III of Crystal. When they faced the backslash, they said they were given permission from the "owners" to censor Usagi and Haruka's kiss. There were reruns of the 90s anime in countres such as Indonesia and Korea with visual edits on nudity/swimsuits. So, Naoko isn't allergic to censoring or nothing of the sort.

Then such decisions only make less and less sense to me...

But they could demonstrate the power of the power that be, just like some people in positions of power might occasionally do (I dunno whether that's really the case here, tho - I'm just half joking, half speculating lol ).

So kinda off topic but apparently the San Marino Comics(an italian comics convention) will have Ikuko Itoh and Hisaki Kagawa as guests to celebrate the rCosmos's release on Netflix.
Shame. I'd like to see it. Do you know if it's gonna be filmed & uploaded to Youtube? Interesting.

In another dimension those two worked on Cosmos as chief animation directors.

I would like to think that Ikuko and Kagawa will draw something related to the movies , but life have teached to me to not to have bigger hopes , so i will just wait for a talk and only a talk.

You meant they'd redraw the characters in the movies? :P
Nope , that would require an even more tremendous hope.

i was refering to some little art , like those that hasegawa has done in twitter, maybe an ikuko version of sailor cosmos :mischief:.

is that asking to much to the destiny?

just a little drawing please.........................................

imagining an official art of ikuko is more exciting to me that imagining an drawing of Naoko:whee:.

whoah , that is having your hopes up to the infinity::eeklez:.
Still funny that we call former technical cast to talk about a license that they haven't worked on (Crystal, Eternal, Cosmos)... So either it's linked to a new project linked to Sailor Moon, or just to talk about the past without relation to new current events (Cosmos).
