Japanese is notable for how it incorporates English words into everyday life, even for common, ordinary things. For example, even though they have the word gyuunyuu, it's actually common to hear people using the word "milk" (or, rather, miruku) instead. The effect of incorporating English words has will vary depending on the target language, but, again, this is something that professional translators should handle and decide, not Takeuchi. I think we could tolerate it, considering they're magic words (and, hey, reciting spells in Latin or such isn't unheard of, so why not?), but imposing the use of honorifics and English words such as cauldron and Warrior of Destruction is downright ludicrous.
Ok, I'm gonna step in before people start saying 'Japanese anime use English terms all the time hohoho, you're being haters!' (Just like the Persona series uses honorifics so it'd be perfectly fine for Sailor Moon to use it as well because all of the people nowadays know what chan, san, tan, sama means...)
There's a difference when a Japanese in real-life is speaking English (whether it's with a heavy accent or not) vs using an English word in Japanese, or should I say
borrowing a foreign word.
This is the so called Engrish.
Foreign words (not just english) are written and transcribed via katakana which is a set of alphabet specifically for foreign words compared to the hiragana which is the 'normal' alphabet.
So even though there might be English words, there's a specific way to pronounce and say them dictated by the way they are written.
For example, a Japanese - if trying to say in English - Fire Soul, he would probably say Fai-yer Souru (with a heavy accent on the r/l).
However, in the Sailor Moon anime, the Fire Soul is said a la Japanese, aka as written in katakana provided in the scripts of the seiyuus -
ファイヤー・ソウル (Faiyaa Souru).
Interesting, this is why Fukami and Ito say Love (from Venus' final attack differently) - Fukami sticks with an English pronunciation 'Luv' (nice touch considering Minako is supposedly well verse in English in the 90s anime) while Ito goes as it is in the script Rabu.
Something that obviously doesn't exist in other languages!
Manga also typically use a lot of foreign words or even complicated Japanese ones and that is explained to the reader via the use of furiganas.
Furiganas are basically the 'alternate' spelling of a word or phrase for the Japanese person to understand it.
Takeuchi used this technique for the Submarine Violon Tide by writing Japanese kanji as the furigana.
Another example, for Saint Seiya (since this series heavily uses foreign words in the characters' attacks), Shiori Teshirogi transcribes one attack in Japanese kanji meaning 最後的正義 (Saigo teki Seigi) - Final Justice and uses ancient Greek over it
τέλος δικαιοσύνη (Telos Dikaiosyni ~ テロス・ジケオシニ - which is how the attack is pronounced).
Which in turn, even if it's something generally a Japanese person wouldn't know - Ancient Greek - the author has already provided the translation here while still keeping the cool foreign naming. (The same could be said in subtitles).
Considering this involves an ancient character at the head of a Greek sacred army who has gone mad over his obsession of justice, it fits.
The Japanese language via it's writing/reading structure itself allows for such liberties, anecdotes and plays with foreign words -
something other languages cannot.
