Yes, I think read somewhere that in mahoutsukai final episode they show the two main heroines grown up, so it mightbe a tease. I can see it as a Do Re Mi movie kind of story.

At present Sailor Moon is regarded as a classic - Precure isn't. :)
That's why this business decision seems quite weird when you consider the timing.
We'll never know, but Toei apparently has a hard time with the Sailor Moon IP since around the PGSM era and they're probably done with new animations.
As shoddy as they are, I don't see why they would try a reboot instead of coming back with the old character designs and voices. I think what they're doing with Precure now is what they envisioned for SM while they announced Crystal back in 2012. The fact that Toru Furuya attended announcement events and Rica Fukami expressing excitement over it on Twitter back then may indicate they were considered for the project.
Well, I respect fans who are totally fine with retellings but this wasn't what 16-year-old me was expecting back in 2012. This has been a godawful ride.

They will never stop as long as Pretty makes money they will refresh and refresh. Wait until they start Pretty Cure/Pokemon, Pretty Cure/Yu-Gi-Oh territory..lol
Theoretically, they could do Precure × [insert any other franchise] (not exactly a formal crossover between two franchises, only that a Precure season is modeled on the elements of another franchise), just as they've already done Precure × Sailor Moon & Precure × Doremi in the past. lol

You sound like a pretty desperate fan. lol
It was a joke. I don't care that much. I'm more bitter than desperate. lol
I knew, & I was joking too. lol Your bitterness is quite understandable.

I think your forgetting few factors.Unlike Sailor Moon which has the manga .Precure is completely original anime series. There is nothing to reboot, because the anime was 100% percent original.
Since the manga and anime were do different from each other. It made more sense to reboot it, than tried to make a sequel to the 90s anime.

But if they wanted to reboot it from the get-go, why have Toru on board alongside Kotono for the new series announcement? Were they planning to cast him as the younger, less manly Mamoru from the manga? Hard to think so.

I am just guessing they were thinking to use them for the reboot as get go.Than decided rather it was Naoko or the whole group thought it would been better if he was recast.

The Anime Japan event will be streamed on…Nico Nico Douga :eyebrows::eyebrows::eyebrows:

Don't get your hopes up too much. Kotono and the new seiyuus will probably show up chatting about how their childhood dreams have finally come true by playing the characters they've grown up with, whilst showing images from the trailer that everyone has already seen. And of course, Osano will probably turn up as usual, flogging volumes 9 and 10 of the Bunkoban and convincing everyone to buy 'em... and make his ridiculous agent salary. :P

There is a rumor going on that Netflix didn’t secure the rights to stream it globally.

If it is true, how are we going to watch it?
I read that Toei is planning on releasing it theatrically overseas like it has done for other movies, but that sounds a little too optimistic. I think we should all just wait and see, it's not like we can be spoiled if we can't watch it right away, we already know what happens lol, although I just hope the international release won't take too long.

All I hope is every fan will have a chance to see it.And we get a physical release as well.
