I've got the feeling Usagi's birthday will completely revolve around the Museum...

Did the colour manga have bad sales? It's the only title I know whose colour version has been "cancelled". So, we can assume it's getting dust along with the novels and the bilingual edition?

Which might be blessing in disguise for Naoko, she does not have to fix her manga for the coloured version.

I think it's kind of good though. So many different viewpoints does make it interesting. I like to read the rants about the theories...lol

Isn't this The biggest Sailor Moon fan forum? Toei has to be know we exist to some capacity? This is like one of the first pages to pop up...at least for me in a search.

It would be funny if we did have a few Toei plants on this forum. Lol

I think you're overestimating a Japanese company's attention to an English speaking forum.

Mistakes? By mistakes, do you mean anatomical problems and panel flow?
I meant mistakes in the drawings. Legs, arms, heads, ears, etc. The digital colouring could conceal some odd scribbles. Also some mistakes could be found in the process and get fixed.

But, oh well, I know it won't happen.

The bilingual edition was always a one-volume thing. Likewise, the novels were always just a trilogy covering the Dark Kingdom arc. The color manga, on the other hand, was obviously supposed to be 10 volumes, so I'm not sure what happened. I don't know what sales were like, but the reviews were very positive. If sales were underwhelming, it would only be due to the complete lack of promotion. At first I would have guessed the pandemic was behind the hiatus, but it's been two years, so...

1) Sales were so bad that Kodansha canceled the project outright
2) Naoko (who's said in interviews she doesn't much care for digital manga releases) is holding things up by demanding a print release (an issue compounded by supply-chain problems)
3) Naoko wasn't pleased with the quality of the colorization and the project is on hold until it can be done up to snuff
4) International publishers who are still trying to push the Eternal Edition and the bunkoban / "Naoko Takeuchi Edition" manga were unhappy to hear that *yet another* version of the manga was coming out in Japan, so Kodansha has put the project on hold to make its licensees happy
5) Some mix of the above

So Takeuchi accounts for 50% of all the possible reasons. lol

I would love if that was the case. The edition was lovely, but I can't wait for the moment milking stuff from the past (the manga and its 25+ years old story arcs) doesn't bring them cash anymore and they get forced to make something brand new, even if not through Naoko's hands.

It is obviously not the case. I mean look at other manga that got color digital editions - no way most of these titles sell better. The reason is different. If i remember correctly they removed the site page of the color edition a couple of days after vol1 and2 got released.
